GAGA’S SCANTILY CLAD IN PARIS

Lady Gaga was walking around Paris Tuesday night, and got some people’s heads turning.   The pop star went out in little more than fishnet stockings and nude-color underwear, which, at first glance, makes it look like she’s wearing almost nothing at all.   Check out the pictures now at CocoPerez.com.

GAGA’S SCARY EXPERIENCE

Lady Gaga had a scary experience with a stalker backstage at one of her London shows last week.   According to British paper the Daily Mail, the pop star was “shaken” when a fan forged security documents so she could try and gain access to her dressing room.   Fortunately, the stalker was stopped and detained by security before she could enter, and was held until the police arrived.

LADY GAGA THROWS HER SHOES IN THE CROWD

At her show in Paris on Tuesday, Lady Gaga did something that she normally doesn’t do.   The pop star took off a pair of her presumably expensive, signature Giorgio Armani high-heeled shoes and threw them into the crowd after the gig.   She also remarked, “Mr. Armani’s probably gonna kill me.”   See the video on YouTube now.

KATY PERRY’S FOURTH SINGLE

It seems that Katy Perry has chosen the fourth single to be released off of her hit album Teenage Dream, and it’s different than what was widely thought.   According to PerezHilton.com, the tune “Peacock” was rumored to be released to radio next, but apparently the newly-married pop star has decided to go with her song “E.T.”   Her first three singles, “California Gurls,” “Teenage Dream” and “Firework” were all huge successes.   Does that mean “E.T.” will follow in their footsteps?

KATY REVEALS BEDROOM SECRETS

Katy Perry is giving a few details about what goes on in the bedroom with her and husband Russell Brand.   She tells Britain’s Grazia magazine that she has “secrets and magic tricks” that she uses, but that she “can’t share them” because then she’d be giving away too much.   She added that she’s “not shy” and that she’ll “never wear sweats. Ever.”

KATY PERRY’S NEW CHRISTMAS TRADITIONS

Katy Perry wants to start a new Christmas traditions with husband Russell Brand.   In an interview with Britain’s Grazia magazine, the “Firework” singer said that the couple is going to get a “pink Christmas tree,” and since the comedian is a vegetarian, a “tofurky.”   She stressed that she wants to start their own “new tradition” because they’re a “family now.”

J. LO DOES L’OREAL

Jennifer Lopez was recently named the global ambassador for L’Oreal Paris, and the 40-year old just shot her first commercial for the cosmetic company.   A video of her shoot is up at YouTube.

RIHANNA GOES CHRISTMAS SHOPPING

Rihanna was spotted doing some Christmas shopping at Saks Fifth Avenue in New York City, according to Thatgrapejuice.net.   The red-haired singer was caught looking at shoes by photogs.

KATY PERRY NAMED CELEBUZZ’S CELEB OF THE YEAR

Katy Perry was named Celebuzz’s Celeb of the Year.   2010 was a banner year for the singer, who released three number one hit songs, caused a stir on Sesame Street, performed on Saturday Night Live, got married to Russell Brand and more.   2011 is shaping up nicely for Perry, who will tour behind her album Teenage Dream and make her film debut as the voice behind “Smurfette” in The Smurfs.  

TAYLOR SWIFT TOPS BILLBOARD ALBUM CHART

Taylor Swift’s Speak Now tops the Billboard album chart for a third non-consecutive week.   The album sold over 259-thousand copies last week and has shifted over 2.6 million copies since its release eight weeks ago, according the Nielsen SoundScan figures.   It is now the third best-selling album of the year behind Eminem’s Recovery at 3.2 million and Lady Antebellum’s Need You Now, which has sold near three million copies.     Susan Boyle falls one notch to number two with The Gift, Michael Jackson’s posthumous album Michael debuts at number three selling over 228-thousand copies, Jackie Evancho’s O Holy Night climbs one spot to number four, while Glee’s Christmas Album falls two spots to number five.      

KELLY OSBOURNE DEFENDS MILEY

Miley Cyrus has been under the microscope since a video made its way to the Web showing the teen star smoking from a bong. But her friend and So Undercover co-star Kelly Osbourne took to Twittter to defend the 18-year-old. She wrote that Cyrus has been great on the set and is on a health kick, going to the gym after shooting.   Osbourne added that Miley is “one of the most hard working respectful women I have ever worked with.”   Kelly said she is learning a lot from Cyrus.   She also added that she is a bad influence on Miley, by making her eat cupcakes during downtime on the set.          

BRUNO MARS TALKS “NOTHIN’ ON YOU”

Bruno Mars and B.o.B became huge stars this year after they released “Nothin’ on You.”   The song is up for three GRAMMYs including Best Rap Song, Best Rap/Sung Collaboration and the coveted Record of the Year.   Bruno told us the stripped down sound helped make the record a classic.   (Related Cut #1)   See if Bruno Mars and B.o.B win any hardware when the 53rd Annual GRAMMY Awards air live on Sunday, February 13th at 8 PM Eastern.  

MICHAEL FRANTI WORKS IN BALI

MARK RONSON’S DREAM COLLABORATION

Mark Ronson was asked which two artists — dead or alive — he’d like to work with, and his response was a bit surprising.   According to British paper the Daily Mail, the DJ and producer answered Notorious B.I.G and Steve Winwood, acknowledging that there’s a “bit of a contrast there.”

WINEHOUSE’S BRAZIL RIDER

In early January, Amy Winehouse is going to be embarking on a tour around Brazil, and NME.com has gotten their hands on a copy of the embattled singer’s rider for her trek.   Apparently Winehouse has requested “a stack-load of booze…chips and chocolate bars” as well as “the use of three armored cars.”

THE OTHER SIDE OF THE PARAMORE SPILT

Earlier this week, Paramore guitarist Josh Farro and his brother, drummer Zac Farro, left the band. The remaining members, singer Hayley Williams, bassist Jeremy Davis and guitarist Taylor York said the two brothers left after because it seemed they didn’t want to be with the group anymore. Josh and Zac have now told their side of the story in a lengthy blog post on JoshFarro.Blogspot.com. In the post, Farro lashes out about issues with their label from the band’s formation, problems with singer Hayley Williams’ rising fame, and discuss many difficulties that the group was going through. The brothers say they decided to leave the band after “prayer and counsel.” MTV News reached out to Atlantic Records, but they could not be reached for comment. Fans will certainly find both sides to this story very interesting indeed.

ABBEY ROAD CROSSWALK IS IMPORTANT

Any Beatles fan knows there is a crosswalk outside of Abbey Road Studios in London.   Now, the British government has made it a site of national importance, meaning it cannot be altered without the approval of local authorities.   The zebra crossing, as the Brits call it, was made famous on the cover of the Fab Four’s Abbey Road album.   Abbey Road Studios themselves were made a site of national importance in February.

LADY A APPROACH TRIPLE PLATINUM STATUS

Lady Antebellum are just five thousand albums short of selling three million copies of Need You Now. The effort helped skyrocket the group’s career – from multiple award wins to their first headlining tour, you’d think the band has experienced everything imaginable this year, but not according to Charles Kelley. He has a burning desire to catch someone at a stop light singing along to one of their songs on the radio (See Related Cut #4). Lady Antebellum will be joining Keith Urban as he kicks off his Get Closer 2011 World Tour in Australia April 8th.   Keith and Lady A have previously toured together in the US, but this will mark the first time Lady A has trekked Australia.

TAYLOR TAPES SPECIAL MESSAGE FOR THE TROOPS

Taylor Swift taped a special message for our servicemen and women overseas as part of the WWE Tribute to the Troops 2010. “Thank you for what you do every day to keep us all so safe and free,” Taylor said in the video. “Happy holidays, I love you all so much!” She wrapped up the message with her signature “heart hands”. The two-hour extended edition of the special aired last night on USA, featuring WWE superstars, Sean “Diddy” Combs, Cedric the Entertainer, and other celebrities.

KEYSHIA COLE TO TOUR WITH NICKI MINAJ?

Keyshia Cole knows that “I Ain’t Thru” featuring Nicki Minaj was the best single off of her album to lead with.   So it makes sense that the singer is open to touring with the leading woman of Young Money. According to Rap-Up.com, KC stated, “If we don’t do that tour [with Monica, Faith Evans, Melanie Fiona, and Tank], then it will probably be me and Nicki Minaj. I would love to go out with Nicki.” We will keep you posted with further details!

DIRTY MONEY SINGLE REMIXED

KELIS FACING LAWSUIT

SingersRoom.com has learned Kelis is facing a lawsuit from failing to pay a talent agency. Apparently, Nas’ ex-wife owes the company over 11-thousand for “goods and services” provided for her performances on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno, The Today Show and Late Night with Jimmy Fallon. Since news broke, the “Milkshake” singer said in a statement, “Drive Talent has been paid in full for services rendered for the assistance in production for various TV performances. Any claims stating otherwise is clearly an effort to gain press attention.”

CHRISTINA MILIAN GIVES CHRISTMAS WISH

Christina Milian is looking forward to a fresh start in 2011 after divorcing her husband, The Dream just nine days after she gave birth to their daughter. The “Dip It Low” singer told us about her Christmas wish (See Related Cut #5). In related news, fans can expect the songbird to release a new single from her oft-delayed Elope LP.
