There will be cold beer, live music, Guitar Hero, all at Copperfields which is a legendary venue. Since Skope is heavily involved with the show I decided to interview the four bands that are playing that night as a preview of whats to come. Join us as Cahill, My Silent Bravery, Tim Blane, and Pete Kilpatrick break it down why you should come out and party and hear some great music this Saturday night starting at 9 pm!

I. My Silent Bravery – www.mysilentbravery.com

Stoli: Where are we speaking from and how was your Thanksgiving?
MSB : Yo Stoli! Hope you had a great T day. Thanksgiving was awesome. Most of us were in the Wu (Worcester, MA). We enjoyed the three F’s — food, family, and football!

Stoli: What are you most thankful for when you look back on 2010?
MSB: We are thankful for lots of awesome shows and meeting tons of great people. We are very thankful to all of those that continue to support us. We are also grateful to have put out a new album that was well received by fans and the industry alike.

Stoli: The show in Boston on December 11th is going to be HUGE! How are you getting ready for that and is your set list ready?
MSB: We are always ready to play, even when we’re not. If our set list was ready, it would likely be changed on stage during our performance.

Stoli: How much prep before the show does it take for you to get ready for the show?
MSB: Make sure all the guys know where and what time the gig is.

Stoli: What does it mean to play a legendary club like Copperfields in Boston, MA?
MSB: We really enjoy playing Copperfield’s and are looking forward to returning there.

Stoli: What has your band been working on recently and will we hear new music on the 11th?
MSB: We are working on a new EP to be released in 2011. It’s unlikely that any of those tunes will be played on the 11th but there may be a surprise or two in store for the night.

Stoli: There will be a Guitar Hero tournament going on that night as well from 8 – 10 pm. Do you play and do you consider Guitar Hero players real guitarists?
MSB: No and No, but we have love for the game and those who play it. It’s a good way to get more people into music.

Stoli: All four bands playing that night are really talented. Is there a silent competition to have the best set and who are you excited to see perform?
MSB: No competition — just love for all the other bands. We put the bill together of bands so we are looking forward to all of the performances.

Stoli: What do you find to be the best way to get your fans, friends, & family out to Copperfields that night?
MSB: Internet. We also get Skope on board!

Stoli: What is coming up for you after the show for 2011?
MSB: We just signed a mgmt. deal so we are excited to see what the future holds. Also, as mentioned earlier, there is new music is in the works!

II. Cahill – www.cahillmusic.com

Stoli: Where are we speaking from and how was your Thanksgiving?
CAHILL: We’re coming to you from our home studio. Thanksgiving was…filling.

Stoli: What are you most thankful for when you look back on 2010?
CAHILL: We just released our 3rd studio album, “Where We Go From Here.” It came out better than we had hoped so we’re thankful to see all the hard work come to fruition.

Stoli: The show in Boston on December 11th is going to be HUGE! How are you getting ready for that and is your set list ready?
CAHILL: We’ re fortunate enough to be on a college roster which means we’re constantly playing.   We have a handful of shows leading up to Copperfields so we’ll be using our performances to iron out what we think will be a good set for the 11th.

Stoli: How much prep before the show does it take for you to get ready for the show?
CAHILL: We’re an acoustic duo.   When it’s just the two of us it’s literally plug in and go.   We like to keep things as laid back as possible so there’s not much in the way of prep…maybe a glass of whiskey.

Stoli: What does it mean to play a legendary club like Copperfields in Boston, MA?
CAHILL: We have yet to play this venue so it’s exciting to add it to our repertoire.   From what we hear, it’s a really fun place to see and hear music.   Hopefully we’ll be here more often.

Stoli: What has your band been working on recently and will we hear new music on the 11th?
CAHILL: Like we said, we just released “Where We Go From Here.”   We’ll be playing a lot of stuff off the record on the 11th.

Stoli: There will be a Guitar Hero tournament going on that night as well from 8 – 10 pm. Do you play and do you consider Guitar Hero players real guitarists?
CAHILL: No we don’t and no we don’t :)

Stoli: All four bands playing that night are really talented. Is there a silent competition to have the best set and who are you excited to see perform?
CAHILL: You always want to put on a good show and we think that the night as a whole is more important than individual sets. You want everyone to rock!   The guys we’re playing with tonight we’ve played with many times before and are fans of them and their music.   We haven’t seen Pete Kilpatrick in a long time though.   Last time we played with them was at The Skybar in Somerville, MA.   I think that place is a Chinese restaurant now.

Stoli: What do you find to be the best way to get your fans, friends, & family out to Copperfields that night?
CAHILL: The Mark Zuckerberg Promotions Company, other people call it Facebook.   Email blasts and website content is also very important.

Stoli: What is coming up for you after the show for 2011?
CAHILL: We’ll be continuing our Northeast College touring and also working on home recordings to be released.   That and praying for warm weather.

III. Tim Blane – www.timblane.com

Stoli: Where are we speaking from and how was your Thanksgiving?
Tim Blane: I’m in Revere, MA at the moment, which is fitting because Paul Revere invented Thanksgiving. Ok, that’s not true, but who really fact checks these days? My Thanksgiving was excellent. Thank you for asking. Seriously. You’re a sweetheart.

Stoli: What are you most thankful for when you look back on 2010?
Tim Blane: My new ability to predict horse races. Not the winners, mind you. Just that there will be races.

Stoli: The show in Boston on December 11th is going to be HUGE! How are you getting ready for that and is your set list ready?
Tim Blane: Most of my prep work for the show will involve meditation and ritual stuffed animal sacrifice. So, in a sense I’ve been getting ready all month.

Stoli: How much prep before the show does it take for you to get ready for the show?
Tim Blane: I’m confused by that question, but I’ll give an educated guess. 7. Wait, no- can I change my answer? Dark green.

Stoli: What does it mean to play a legendary club like Copperfields in Boston, MA?
Tim Blane: It’s important to us because, as you know, David Copperfield invented Thanksgiving.

Stoli: What has your band been working on recently and will we hear new music on the 11th?
Tim Blane: We’ve got a brand new album in the works! It’ll be released in January. And we’ll be playing a couple tunes from it on the 11th.

Stoli: There will be a Guitar Hero tournament going on that night as well from 8 – 10 pm. Do you play and do you consider Guitar Hero players real guitarists?
Tim Blane: To be honest I’ve never played Guitar Hero. But I assume Guitar Hero is just as real as any other crime fighter in this fair city.

Stoli: All four bands playing that night are really talented. Is there a silent competition to have the best set and who are you excited to see perform?
Tim Blane: I think everybody wants to play a great set, but there’s no competition going on. Except Cahill. Those guys short sheeted my bed at summer camp one time. I hope they forget the chords to all their songs.

Stoli: What do you find to be the best way to get your fans, friends, & family out to Copperfields that night?
Tim Blane: Rickshaw. But somehow my fans keep refusing to ride in mine. Probably because of the incident with the wheels coming off and the ensuing fire.

Stoli: What is coming up for you after the show for 2011?
Tim Blane: New album, New tour, New attitude. And Nutella, if there’s time.

IV. Pete Kilpatrick – www.petekilpatrickband.com

Stoli: Where are we speaking from and how was your Thanksgiving?
PK: I’m writing from my home in Midcoast Maine. My Thanksgiving was terrific! I’m eating leftovers as we speak.

Stoli: What are you most thankful for when you look back on 2010?
PK: I’m thankful that we’ve been able to play some incredible shows across the country for much of the year. We’re now in writing mode for the next few months in preparation for our sixth studio record which we plan on releasing in 2011.

Stoli: The show in Boston on December 11th is going to be HUGE! How are you getting ready for that and is your set list ready?
PK: We’ve been working on some new covers for the set as well as getting some new songs ready to play for people. We will most likely write a set list for the Boston gig at dinner that night. Our moods are constantly changing so it’s nice to get a sense for what we’re going to play just a few hours before our set.

Stoli: How much prep before the show does it take for you to get ready for the show?
PK: We don’t spend too much time prepping for shows in advance. We like to get our equipment set up and relax for a couple hours before taking the stage.

Stoli: What does it mean to play a legendary club like Copperfields in Boston, MA?
PK: It’s always a blast for us to perform in Boston and Copperfields will be no different! We’re looking forward to a great show with some great bands!

Stoli: What has your band been working on recently and will we hear new music on the 11th?
PK: We’re currently in the beginning stages of writing material for a new record that we plan on releasing in 2011. We’re also in the midst of booking a three month long tour from February through May that will take us along the majority of the east coast as well as out to California and Colorado.

Stoli: There will be a Guitar Hero tournament going on that night as well from 8 – 10 pm. Do you play and do you consider Guitar Hero players real guitarists?
PK: I’ve played Guitar Hero quite a few times but I’m not very good at all. I’m only good at playing the Dokken and Queensryche songs. I wouldn’t quite consider Guitar Hero players authentic guitarists but it is definitely a great tool for aspiring young musicians to enter into the world of musicianship and instrumentation.

Stoli: All four bands playing that night are really talented. Is there a silent competition to have the best set and who are you excited to see perform?
PK: I think all the bands will do a terrific job! I personally don’t feel that things get competitive between talented musicians but there’s always the desire to put on the best show possible and this will make for an overall great night.

Stoli: What is coming up for you after the show for 2011?
PK: We will be touring extensively throughout much of 2011. We’re doing a few shows with O.A.R as part of Festevol (www.festevol.com). We will also be releasing a new studio album at some point in 2011.
