Fresh off closing the 2010 American Music Awards with a medley of their hits, New Kids on the Block and Backstreet Boys have announced more tour dates. 18 shows have been added to the outing, including second shows added in Chicago and Toronto. The guys will play in Boston, Philadelphia, Montreal, Detroit, Atlanta, Nashville, Phoenix, Los Angeles, Las Vegas and more. NKOTBSB took to the stage for their first network TV appearance together at Sunday’s American Music Awards. They performed Backstreet’s “I Want It That Way” and NKOTB’s “Hangin’ Tough,” and other songs including “Step by Step,” and “Larger Than Life.”

GREYSON CHANCE SUPRISES NEW YORK STUDENTS
While in New York last week, viral star Greyson Chance dropped in on the 5th graders who have made a viral name for themselves. The PS22 Chorus in Staten Island, New York have made their own viral clips online singing popular songs, just like Greyson Chance did by performing Lady Gaga’s “Paparazzi.” Greyson slipped in during the kids’ version of “Paparazzi” and pushed director Mr. B out of the way to take over on the keys for a repeat performance of his own version Lady Gaga’s hit. The stunned students then joined Greyson for a rendition of his own sensational single “Waiting Outside the Lines.”

WILL.I.AM TO DELIVER KEYNOTE ADDRESS AT GRAMMY EVENT
The Black Eyed Peas frontman will.i.am will deliver the keynote address at the GRAMMY Foundation’s 13th Annual Entertainment Law Initiative Luncheon & Scholarship Presentation. Will, who is a GRAMMY Foundation board member, will deliver the speech on February 11th at the Beverly Hills Hotel in Beverly Hills, California.

MIKE POSNER MEETS RICK RUBIN
The man with the perfectly manicured beard met the man who is known for his facial hair being just a bit out of control. Mike Posner had the opportunity to meet legendary producer Rick Rubin on Sunday night at the American Music Awards. The “Cooler Than Me” singer wrote on his Twitter that it was Kid Rock who actually introduced them, and that his life is now “completed.” Mike was on hand at the AMAs as a presenter, and was also nominated for the T-Mobile Breakthrough Artist Award.

P!nk and Katy Perry both rocked the stage at the American Music Awards on Sunday night, and they wrote to each other on Twitter after the event. Katy started it off, saying that she “loves” P!nk. P!NK AND CHRISTINA’S AWKWARD INTERACTION
P!nk and Christina Aguilera crossed paths at Ryan Seacrest’s radio show late last week in Los Angeles, and the interaction was a tad awkward to say the least. According to People.com, the two pop stars were supposed to be interviewed back to back, but they ended up talking to each other on-air in the studio, and Aguilera started questioning P!nk about her newly announced pregnancy. DUFFY WANTED TO QUIT MUSIC
Even though her debut album, Rockferry, was a roaring success, Duffy almost quit the music business. She told WalesOnline.co.uk that because her life had gotten “so complicated,” she really thought about “walking away.” She added that she “missed the simple things in life,” but that recording her forthcoming album Endlessly made her remember why she was a musician in the first place. Endlessly is due out December 7th.
AMERICAN HI-FI ROCKS THE VIPER ROOM!
American Hi-Fi played their first show in over a year at The Viper Room in West Hollywood, California on Friday night. The band kicked off the show with “Surround” followed by “Scar,” both off their self-titled 2001 album, before playing the title track to their second album, The Art of Losing. They debuted a host of new songs off their latest album, Fight The Frequency, including “Acetate,” “Lost,” “This is a Low” and the ballad “Where Love is a Lie.” They also dusted off “Blue Day,” which they haven’t played in five years. Other highlights included “Hi-Fi Killer,” and their breakthrough hit, “Flavor of the Weak.” The Boston and L-A-based band ended the show with “Wall of Sound.” Frontman Stacy Jones has been keeping busy working as the musical director and drummer for Miley Cyrus’ touring band. He played with Cyrus on Sunday night at the American Music Awards. American Hi-Fi’s video for “Lost” was shot at Miley Cyrus’ new home in Los Angeles. The band’s new album, Fight The Frequency, is in stores now.

Entertainment Weekly reports Nicki Minaj’s confidence went sky high after Mariah Carey gave her some encouraging words. The two collaborated on Mi Mi’s “Up Out My Face” remix and the rapper recalled the diva saying, “You’re going to make it. You’re going to be really big!” Minaj now feels that for her Pink Friday LP, “It doesn’t matter if I sell 80-thousand or 800-thousand in the first week. Eventually the album will be multi-platinum, because it’s a body of amazing work. I don’t have any fear about dropping the same day as Kanye [West].”

Kanye West has done the unimaginable. His newly released My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy LP has scored Pitchfork.com’s highest possible ranking, ten out of ten! According to the site, “Kanye is crazy enough to truly believe he’s the greatest out there. And, about a decade into his career, the hardworking perfectionist has gained the talent on the mic and in the control room to make a startlingly strong case for just that.” The review goes on to say that on certain songs, “he exhibits vulnerability and invincibility in equal measure” and “blurs the line between fantasy and reality.” This is one review definitely worth reading and an album definitely worth buying. According to Rap-Up.com, Sean Kingston has reached out to Soulja Boy to be a part of his upcoming mixtape, King of Kingz. The Jamaican sensation and “Pretty Boy Swag” rap star join forces on a track called “BBM,” which of course is all about conversing with females through Blackberry cell phones. Kanye shrug.

COLDPLAY ANNOUNCE 2011 SHOWS
Coldplay return in 2011. The band, which is working on a new album with producer Brian Eno, will headline the Rock at the Ring and Rock in the Park festivals in Germany over the weekend of June 3rd to the 5th. THE EDGE AVOIDS TMZ’S QUESTIONS ABOUT NEW U2 ALBUM
U2’s manager says they’ll likely have a new album out by May 2011, but guitarist The Edge isn’t giving away any details. When he stopped by TMZ, Edge said it’s “hard to tell” where they are at will new music, but revealed they are “working hard.” He also said that Bono is feeling much better since his back surgery earlier this year.
