JanSport today announced the launch of its biggest contest of the year, its online Battle of the Bands competition. Beginning with over 800 entries, 50 of the best-of-the-best bands have been hand-picked by a panel of judges from JanSport and now the Brand is putting the hard decision-making in the hands of voters.
Beginning November 17 through December 20 at 11:59 p.m. EST, JanSport invites music fans to visit www.jansport.com/battleofthebands once a day to cast a vote for their favorite band for the chance-of-a-lifetime opportunity to play the Sonicbids Official SXSW party, presented by JanSport, this March 2011 in Austin, TX. Beyond having the chance to play at SXSW, the winning band will receive a JanSport luggage set and will have their travel expenses covered by JanSport.
