Sarah Kirkland Snider reveals the debut video for “The Lotus Eaters,” from her widely-acclaimed new release Penelope (out now on New Amsterdam Records), starring the album’s vocalist Shara Worden of My Brightest Diamond. Shot at the East Point Lighthouse and an abandoned military base in New Jersey, the video captures Snider’s compelling story of a modern-day woman, Penelope (Worden), whose long-missing former husband turns up at her door, traumatized by two decades spent in an unnamed war. To restore his memory, the woman reads aloud from Homer’s Odyssey.
