LADY GAGA’S SPEECH!
As we previously reported, Lady Gaga took the stage at a rally against the military’s Don’t Ask Don’t Tell policy in Maine on Monday. She was there to support the Servicemembers Legal Defense Network and unveiled a speech called “The Prime Rib of America” for a crowd of over four-thousand people, which included college students and activists.
PLANET MICHAEL
According to Billboard, the Michael Jackson estate has entered a licensing deal with a Los Angeles company that will create an online virtual world based on the King of Pop called Planet Michael. The multi-player online game will contain about 100-thosuand active users who will be able to collect and trade virtual Jackson merchandise and earn credits by performing challenges related to his music and dance moves. The estate will work with game publisher SEE Virtual Worlds to develop the game for release in late 2011. As in other virtual worlds, players can replenish their game accounts using real money.
NEON TREES TALK “ANIMAL”
“Animal” has become a number one rock radio hit for the band Neon Trees. We asked guitarist Chris Allen about how the song itself was recorded (See Related Cut #5). “Animal” is off Neon Trees’ album Habits, which is out now. The band opens for 30 Seconds to Mars in Vancouver, Canada tonight.
OWL CITY MUSIC IN NEW OWL MOVIE

KATY PERRY GETS LAPDANCE TO HER OWN SONG
More information is being revealed about Katy Perry’s bachelorette party in Las Vegas. According to various sources, besides lounging at a poolside cabana, Perry and her friends went to a strip club, where she got a lapdance to one of her own songs. Learn more at NME.com.
WHEN DID RUSSELL FALL IN LOVE WITH KATY?
When exactly did Katy Perry and Russell Brand fall in love? Well apparently it was after the pop star hit the comedian over the head with a water bottle. Brand has written a new book, My Booky Wook 2: This Time It’s Personal, and in it, he reminisces on meeting Perry at the MTV Video Music Awards. He said he “fell in love” when she hit him with a water bottle, and how it was like “Cupid in a riot.” The couple plan to wed later this year.
KANYE AND 50 CENT TO TOUR?
During an interview with Vibe, DJ Whoo Kid recently spilled on 50 Cent wanting to potentially hit the road with Kanye West. The G-Unit affiliate explained to the mag, that both rappers “have been talking about working together since a couple months ago” and possibly looking to “roll out together in a Euro tour.” Kid noted that while the moguls had a Nielsen Soundscan competition a few years ago, “It’s the media that be hyping up all the beef and stupidity. But the real story is behind the scenes these dudes are talking.”
FANTASIA, ERIC BENET TO TOUR TOGETHER
According to SingersRoom.com, a rep has confirmed that Fantasia, Eric Benet and Kandi Burruss have decided to team up for a fall tour. The outing will kick off in November and will help further promote the American Idol’s Back to Me album, the crooner’s long-delayed Lost In Time LP and former Xscape member’s upcoming Kandi Koated effort. Fans can expect all tour dates to be announced soon.

LAMBERT DISCUSSES PAPARAZZI INCIDENT
Adam Lambert went on a Miami radio station to discuss what happened between him and paparazzi on Miami Beach over the weekend. The former American Idol runner-up said that he let the photographers take pictures at the beginning, but then he just wanted to “eat some food and have a pina colada” and they wouldn’t leave him alone. Lambert then said that photog Victor Eras said something “really rude,” leading the “Whataya Want From Me” singer to “kind of snap.” But Adam insisted that Eras lied to the police and that Lambert did nothing physical to harm him. Police are supposed to review the case soon to decide if any charges will be filed.
WINEHOUSE SAYS SHE LOVES RONSON
So perhaps Mark Ronson is not “dead” to Amy Winehouse. After the embattled singer-songwriter lashed out at the producer for going on a British late-night show and talking about writing tracks on Winehouse’s classic album Back to Black, Amy went back on Twitter to say, “Ronson I love you. The nonprofit organization Musicians On Call is featuring “A Month Of Music” in October. Lady Antebellum will perform on October 13th at the City Winery in New York City.
