GAGA ANNOUNCES ALBUM TITLE

Sunday night at the MTV Video Music Awards, Lady Gaga announced the name of her highly anticipated next album.   While on stage accepting the award for Video of the Year, the pop star told the crowd that the project will be titled Born This Way, and then went on to sing a few lines of the title track.   If you missed it, watch the clip now at MTV.com.   Born This Way is due out sometime next year.

GAGA GETS BOOED BACKSTAGE AT VMAS

Lady Gaga, the big winner at MTV’s Video Music Awards, got an ear-full backstage at the big show.   When Gaga came backstage to pose for photographs, wearing her meat dress, some photographers yelled out that they wanted Gaga to hold a Moon Man for photos.   Gaga responded, “I’m not a piece of meat” and walked away towards the exit, never posing with the awards.   Many of the photogs started to yell and boo, she just gave them a dirty look and left the room.   Gaga won eight awards Sunday night, including the coveted Video of the Year award for “Bad Romance.”  

GAGA LAWSUIT DROPPED

Rob Fusari, a producer and former boyfriend of Lady Gaga, has dropped a lawsuit against the pop star asking for 30.5-million dollars.   Gaga had filed a countersuit, which has also been dismissed.   Fusari’s original lawsuit accused Gaga of not recognizing that he helped her secure a record deal, he came up with her stage name, and that he co-wrote songs, including “Paparazzi.”   The Associated Press reports that it’s unclear if the suit was dismissed because they came to a monetary agreement.

LADY GAGA PERFUME

Lady Gaga is teaming up with Coty to release multiple fragrances under her name.   According to WWD.com, the first women’s scent is set to his shelves in the spring of 2012.

LUDACRIS TALKS LUDAVERSAL

According to Billboard.com, Ludacris revealed that he’s just getting started on his upcoming album, Ludaversal. The “How Low” rapper explained that while he didn’t “want to give too much information in terms of direction” for the follow-up to Battle Of The Sexes, he doesn’t “discriminate” when it comes to working with “hungry, up-and-coming” talent.   He goes on to promise fans that more information surrounding the next LP will come out “soon.” In the meantime, you can expect Luda to drop the visual for his fourth single, “Everybody Drunk” with Lil Scrappy.

BEYONCE TALKS SENSUALITY & CAREER

During an interview with SingersRoom.com, Beyonce opened up about tapping into her sensual side when she’s performing on stage. Jay-Z’s wife says she doesn’t “think about it too much…I’m just free. I can express my sensuality; I can express my pain, vulnerability, my strength, all of those things.” The multi-talented singer stated the key to her success is remaining “competitive” with herself, but she explained she isn’t “a competitive person who walks in thinking how I can compete with them, especially not my husband” because “ego’s are not attractive.” Head over to the site to learn more.

JENNIFER HUDSON A FREE MASON?

SingersRoom.com reports Jennifer Hudson’s brother-in-law is reportedly spreading rumors that the GRAMMY Award winning singer used to be a Free Mason. A man named Gregory King, who claims to be the father of Hudson’s deceased nephew, Julian King, alleges that Jen “is supposed to be a Free Mason…She supposedly has sacrificed some things in order to get where she’s at.” He added, “Whatever is in the dark, will come to the light.” Gregory is an aspiring rapper and posted a video of himself talking about J-Hud.   You can check it out on YouTube now.

NEW JENNIFER LOPEZ

According to ThatGrapeJuice.net, new material from Jennifer Lopez has reportedly surfaced. The track is called “Run The World” and features Rick Ross and The-Dream. The three Def Jam stars create something special, which will be included on the singer’s upcoming rerecording of her Love? LP. Check it out on YouTube now! In related news, you can expect Lopez to drop a video for her new single “Take Care.”

DAVID COOK TAKES IN TENNIS

We reported yesterday that Rob Thomas had been checking out the U-S Open in Queens, New York over the weekend, but he wasn’t the only singer-songwriter to do so.   David Cook performed “America the Beautiful” before the final match on Monday, and wrote on his Twitter account that he got to meet tennis player Rafael Nadal.   Read more at Twitter.com/TheDavidCook.

MIKE POSNER AND THE POLICE

Recording your debut album is never easy, especially when you keep getting hassled by the police.   Mike Posner told BangShowBiz.com that while working on early demos for his album 31 Minutes to Takeoff at Duke University in North Carolina, neighbors would complain about the volume of the music he was making and cops came to his room “countless times” to ask if he was “making all that noise.”   31 Minutes to Takeoff is out now.

HOW DOES KATY PERRY STAY IN SHAPE?

BRANDON FLOWERS SAY KILLERS ARE ON “VAGUE” HIATUS

Brandon Flowers’ solo album, Flamingo, came out today, but what’s the status of his full time job as frontman for The Killers? Flowers told NME.com that the guys in the band want to take a break and are being “vague” as to how long that hiatus will be. BONO AND THE EDGE MUSIC FROM MUSICAL

New music from Bono and The Edge debuted in New York last week. The song is called “Boy Falls From the Sky” and it’s the first tune from the Spider-Man: Turn off the Dark musical, which premieres on Broadway later this year. The U2 members penned original music for the production.
