GAGA GOES CROWD SURFING

Lady Gaga didn’t only perform at Lollapalooza over the weekend — she went crowd surfing too.   According to many different outlets, the “Bad Romance” singer jumped into the crowd during the Semi Precious Weapons’ set at the Chicago festival, wearing an outfit made of fishnets and not too much more.   Check out the video at TMZ.com.

JUSTIN BIEBER GETS HIT WITH A BOTTLE

Justin Bieber was hit in the head with a water bottle at a recent radio concert.   Footage of the incident popped up on the web.   After getting struck, Bieber bounced back saying, “Ow, that didn’t feel good.”   The 16-year-old is currently out on his My World Tour, which rolls into Nashville, Tennessee tomorrow night.

YOU WON’T FIND KATY PERRY WASTED

A lot of celebrities have been caught doing crazy things while intoxicated, but don’t expect that to happen to Katy Perry.   The “California Gurls” singer told British paper The Guardian that to be a successful musician you have to “bust your a**,” so she’s not going to be getting drunk in bars when she can be working instead.   Her sophomore album, Teenage Dream, is due out August 24th.

KATY TAKES A SHOT AT TRAVIE McCOY

Does Katy Perry take a shot at ex-boyfriend Travie McCoy on her latest album Teenage Dream?   According to the New York Post, the pop star told Billboard magazine that the song “Circle The Drain” is her “‘You Oughta Know’ Alanis Morissette moment.”   It features lines like “You fall asleep during foreplay/ ‘Cause the pills you take are more your forte,” which seems allude to McCoy’s stint in rehab back in 2008.   Hear the song when Teenage Dream hits stores on August 24th.

CHRISTINA GOING TO LIVE NATION?

According to various reports, Christina Aguilera could follow Madonna, U2 and Jay-Z over at Live Nation.   Christina is currently signed to a long term contract with RCA Records, according to her manager Irving Azoff, who coincidentally is the executive chairman of Live Nation.   Azoff took to Twitter to say that the singer and actress is not thinking about switching labels, rather she’s focused on her upcoming movie, Burlesque, which comes out in November.   He added that Live Nation is not a record company.   He also noted that RCA is not giving up on Christina due to sluggish sales of her latest album.   Aguilera’s Bionic album is up two spots to number 55 on the Billboard album chart and has sold over 208-thousand copies since its release seven weeks ago.  

RIHANNA SETS ANOTHER RECORD

Eminem’s “Love the Way You Lie” featuring Rihanna jumps to the top spot on the Pop songs radio airplay chart this week.   According to RihannaNow.com, that marks six number one singles for Rihanna.   She is now tied Mariah Carey, Beyoncé and Lady Gaga, who have previously had six number one hits on the chart.   “Love the Way You Lie” is also enjoying its third week at the number one spot on the Billboard Hot 100 chart.

BEYONCE TO LAUNCH SECOND PERFUME LINE?

After the impressive response to her Heat fragrance, Beyonce is reportedly ready to reveal her second scent, Heat Ultimate Elixir. According to TheBeyonceNetwork.com, the singer’s second perfume line is “concentrated” with “more intense” spicy-floral Red Vanilla Orchid. Fans will be able to purchase Heat Ultimate Elixir at department stores nationwide on September 20th.

SWIFT AND DAVE MATTHEWS BAND WELCOME FOOTBALL SEASON

Taylor Swift and the Dave Matthews Band will perform live before the New Orleans Saints first regular season game, when they play the Minnesota Vikings. NBC announced the news during a commercial break of the NFL’s Hall of Fame Game Sunday night. The game will also kick off the 2010 National Football League season. NBC will broadcast the concert live on September 9th at 8 PM Eastern.

FANTASIA IN SEX SCANDAL?

According to Charlotte’s NBC affiliate, Fantasia Barrino is potentially facing a lawsuit for allegedly having an affair with a married man. A woman named Paula Cook is accusing her estranged husband, Antwuan Cook, of making a sex tape with the former American Idol winner. Paula claims in documents that her husband and Fantasia have “at times recorded their illicit sexual activity,” and since a third party can be sued for breaking up a marriage, Fanny could be in hot water. CHRIS BROWN AND TWISTA “MAKE A MOVIE”

For the first time ever, Chris Brown and Twista have teamed up for a new song called “Make A Movie.” The track is reportedly off the rapper’s upcoming album, The Perfect Storm. It’s unknown when the disc will hit stores but you can check out the song via Rap-Up.com now.

NEW KANYE SINGLE COMING IN THREE WEEKS!

If you missed Kanye West’s recent UStream video, then you’ll be surprised to know that he intends to drop a new single, called “Lost in the World” or “All of the Lights,” in the next three weeks. The “Power” rapper also stated that his fourth studio album, formally titled Good Ass Job, will no longer arrive in September. DMX’S EX WIFE EXPLAINS SEPARATION

After 13 years of marriage, DMX’s ex-wife is speaking up about what caused the end of their relationship. Tashera Simmons explained that “he had four other children” that she “didn’t know about.” According to DrewReports.com, Tashera stated, “The drugs already [were] too much but then the cheating; I didn’t even know he had time to do that.” She added, “There was just a lot of unprotected sex and I have kids to take care of. I started thinking about all of that and I was like, I can’t do it anymore. I felt he took me for granted.”

FATHER OF MADONNA’S ADOPTED DAUGHTER MERCY SPEAKS

James Kambewa, the biological father of Madonna’s daughter Mercy, has opened up about the pop star raising his child.   Kambewa told South Africa’s Sunday Time newspaper that he’s “very happy” that Madonna has given his child a good life, but he thinks about his daughter every day.   He also said that he wants to “make peace with Madonna” so that he can one day meet Mercy.   Learn more at ContactMusic.com.

U2 PLAY THREE NEW SONGS IN ITALY

Italian U2 fans were treated to three new tracks from the band in Turin on Friday night. Among the new songs was a tune called “Glastonbury,” one titled “North Star” and another named “Return of the Stingray Guitar.” The band wrote new music while singer Bono recovered from emergency back surgery, which forced them to postpone a U-S summer tour. Fans can see video of U2 playing the song “Glastonbury” at NME.com now.

GREEN DAY DRUMMER GOT TRAPPED IN ELEVATOR!

Green Day rocked Lollapalooza this weekend but it wasn’t all fun for the band. According to their Twitter, drummer Tre Cool was stuck in an elevator at the Four Seasons in Chicago for an hour! We assume he’s free now and heading to Washington D.C. for a show tomorrow night.
