MILEY CYRUS LIKES MICHEAL JACKSON

Tributes to Michael Jackson went out throughout the weekend to honor the one year anniversary of the pop singer’s death, and one person who took a moment to give praise to the King of Pop was Miley Cyrus. KATY PERRY TOPLESS ON ESQUIRE

Katy Perry appears topless on the cover of the August issue of Esquire. Dressed in black high-waisted bikini cut bottoms and high, strappy black heels, Perry looks straight out in the photo, covering her nipples with her hands and arms. BLINK-182 RECORDING NEW ALBUM THIS FALL
 
According to bassist Mark Hoppus, Blink-182 will begin recording a new album in September. Hoppus announced the news via his website, HiMyNameisMark.com. He says they won’t be playing any more live shows in 2010 after their appearance at the Epicenter Twenty Ten on September 25th and 26th as they will be recording the follow-up to 2003’s self-titled album.

MONICA SHOOTS VIDEO FOR NEW SINGLE
 
After a tremendous response from her fans, Monica has announced “Love All Over Me” will be the next single off her latest album, Still Standing. While shooting the video for the song in Los Angeles, the singer released still shots of herself dressed in all white for a wedding ceremony. The clip will premiere in coming days.

VAMPIRE WEEKEND SAY “HOLIDAY” ISNT A VACATION FROM REALITY
 
Vampire Weekend’s track “Holiday” is becoming a summer anthem of sorts, but the guys in the band don’t really get why. NME reports that singer Ezra Koenig says the song is about the first Gulf War and though it feels good to play, lyrically “there’s stuff going on there.” “Holiday” is off Vampire Weekend’s latest album Contra, which they released back in January.
 
FAT JOE CLEARED IN SEXUAL ASSAULT CASE

Good news for Fat Joe! The rapper has just been cleared of all charges relating to his alleged sexual assault case. The emcee was accused of “inappropriately” touching an unidentified 33-year-old woman in his limo after a concert.   Joe’s lawyer, Dawn Florio Esq, recently said in a statement, “Making a false claim of a sexual nature in order to extort money is one of the most horrific accusations because it not only tarnishes reputations but has the potential to destroy families.”

T-PAINS SUED BY FORMER MAKING THE BAND STAR
 
SingersRoom.com reports T-Pain is facing a lawsuit from Making The Band singer Sarah Stokes. The Auto-tune king allegedly failed to pay or give credit to Stokes for writing a song called “What’s Wrong (Go Away)” — which later appeared on Jennifer Hudson’s debut album. The reality star is seeking co-author credits for the track, income generated from the song, lawyer’s fees and more. Pain is yet to respond to the suit.
 
KID CUDI GETS SUPPORT FROM CONVERSE

For a new collaboration called “Three Artists. One Song,” Converse is showcasing three great artists from three different genres. The track reportedly includes Kid Cudi, Rostam Batmanglij of Vampire Weekend and Bethany Cosentino from Best Coast. Converse selected the rapper due to his “eclectic style and ability to weave timeless samples effortlessly into his own music.” You can download the track for free via Converse.com now.

RICK ROSS GETS SUED FOR 10 MILLION!

Former convict Freeway Ricky Ross has filed a lawsuit against rapper William “Rick Ross” Roberts II for unauthorized use of his name and identity and we now know how much the suit is for. According to The Hollywood Reporter, the ex-con is seeking ten-million dollars and also wants to prevent the release of the emcee’s upcoming Teflon Don album — which is slated to drop on July 20th. The drug king names Jay-Z, Def Jam and Universal Music Group in the suit. We’ll keep you posted with further updates.
