After three delays, Lil Wayne has finally turned himself in to begin his one year jail sentence for weapons possession. The rapper was initially supposed to begin on February 11th, however due to an emergency dental appointment to undergo eight root canals, Weezy was granted an additional month to properly heal. Then, just hours before he was scheduled to begin last week, a fire broke out at the Manhattan Criminal Court Building. Instead of serving the very next day, judge Charles H. Solomon stated the courthouse needed further repairs which meant Wayne was granted an extra weekend of freedom. MTV News has learned the emcee will be allowed permitted two visits each week with no conjugal visits since he is not married. In addition, he will have guards assigned to protect his safety and interact with inmates of a certain classification. If he’s lucky, he could potentially only serve eight months, according to his lawyer.
