Jarrod Gorbel, the Brooklyn-based singer/songwriter behind esteemed indie act The Honorary Title, announces the self-release of a solo EP. “Ten Years Older” will be available digitally on January 19th, 2010. The collection, recorded in New York, is a taste of what is to come with Gorbel’s approaching full-length solo album, Devil’s Made A New Friend.
Gorbel has come full circle this year, stepping out from behind the Honorary Title name and recording two remarkable new discs. His solo sound mines classic soul, traditional folk and Americana, incorporating strings, horns and female backing vocals for a sound more lush and organic than any of his previous work.
