LEONA PUTS ATTACK “BEHIND” HER

Leona Lewis’ attacker was finally sentenced to time in jail last week after punching the singer at an October book-signing.   Lewis spoke about the incident on British TV show Live From Studio Five, saying that at first it was very “shocking,” but now that it’s over, she wants to “put it behind” her.   She went on to say that she doesn’t want to let it affect her in any way.

KELLY CLARKSON TALKS NEW ALBUM

Kelly Clarkson has some more information about her next studio album.   The original American Idol told a radio station that she is working on the follow-up to her hit effort All I Ever Wanted, but that we probably won’t see it until Christmas time of next year.   She also said that it’s going to be a “little different” and that it’s almost like “Garbage-meets pop-meets Muse.”   Stay up to date with everything Kelly at KellyClarkson.com.

TWO ROB THOMAS SONGS GO GOLD

DAUGHTRY GOES TO SEE AVATAR

A lot of people were headed to the theaters on Thursday night at midnight to see James Cameron’s new movie Avatar.   One of those people was Chris Daughtry, and he took to his Twitter account to give his thoughts about the film.   The rocker wrote that it was an “amazing, visually stunning movie.”   Check it out for yourself as Avatar is in theaters now.

LADY GAGA DISCUSSES “DANCE IN THE DARK”

Lady Gaga recently sat down to discuss her song “Dance In The Dark” off her The Fame Monster album.   The pop star told MTV.com that “the record is about a girl who likes to have sex with the lights off, because she’s embarrassed about her body. She doesn’t want her man to see her naked. She will be free, and she will let her inner animal out, but only when the lights are out.”   Read more at MTV.com.

JIMMY CHOO TALKS MADONNA

Does Madonna like shoes more than sex?   Well according to designer Jimmy Choo, it’s a close call.   According to ContactMusic.com, Choo said, “Madonna told me that buying a pair of my shoes is more satisfying than having sex with a man.   At least you know they are going to last for ever!”

BEYONCE INTRODUCES HEAT FRAGRANCE

According to her official fan site, Beyonce has just released the commercial for her first fragrance. After years of endorsing other brands, the hardest working woman in show business has launched her own perfume called Heat — which will hit stores in early 2010. Check out the clip on YouTube now.

BEYONCE’S PARENTS FILE FOR DIVORCE?

According to TMZ, Beyonce’s parents, Tina and Mathew Knowles, are ending their 31-year marriage. Last month, Tina reportedly filed divorce papers in Harris County, Texas, just weeks after Mathew was hit with a paternity lawsuit from an unidentified woman. The filings cite that the former couple “ceased to live together as husband and wife on or about January 5, 2009” — which is the exact day of their 30th   wedding anniversary. The reason for the split hasn’t yet been confirmed. The couple has two children, Beyonce and her younger sister, Solange Knowles.

OWL CITY ANNOUNCES SPRING 2010 TOUR!

Owl City have announced a spring headlining U-S tour. The trek will kick off on March 30th is Boise, Idaho and hit every major U-S market, including New York, L-A, Denver and more. DIDDY WANTS TO BE ADOPTED BY OBAMA

PerezHilton.com reports Diddy wishes he could be adopted into Barack Obama’s family. The mogul explained, “If God said I could pick one person to be my father, I’d want to be Sean Combs Obama.” Puff added, “That’s how dope he is. I hope he reads this interview and adopts me. I wouldn’t even have to be in the will. I got my own money!” In addition, Diddy believes the hip hop community played a role in helping elect the first African American president on the United States.

ROBIN THICKE EXPECTING BABY BOY

During Friday’s episode of The Ellen DeGeneres Show, Robin Thicke spilled on the sex of his unborn baby with his wife Paula Patton. The “Sex Therapy” crooner revealed they are expecting their first child to be a boy. Robin is excited and will be “a little more comfortable” raising his child as he plans to “teach him to play basketball and stuff like that.”

MARY J BLIGE TO BE HONORED BY ESSENCE

Mary J. Blige and Queen Latifah will be honored during Essence magazine’s upcoming 3rd Annual Essence Black Women in Hollywood luncheon. Actress Zoe Saldana and Precious star Gabourey Sidibe will also be recognized during the event, which pays homage to phenomenal women throughout the year. The ceremony takes place on March 4th.

FLO RIDA LEADS THE DIGITAL DECADE

Flo Rida’s debut smash single “Low,” off his Mail On Sunday album, has just been named the top-selling digital song of the decade. According to Nielsen SoundScan, 5.2-million digital downloads of the track sold. Aside from that, his 2009 hit single “Right Round” is still the highest-selling digital debut of all time. The emcee’s R.O.O.T.S LP is nominated for two GRAMMY nominations, including the coveted Album of the Year. In related news, the rapper is working on his third studio album which will be available in the spring of 2010.

MARIAH GETS A RELEASE DATE

According to her reliable official fan site, Mariah Carey’s highly anticipated Memoirs of An Imperfect Angel remix LP finally has an official launch date. Her fans can expect the project — which boasts contributions from Mary J. Blige, Snoop Dogg, T-Pain, R. Kelly, K-Ci & JoJo, Big Boi, Trey Songz, Nicki Minaj and Fabolous — to hit stores on February 23rd.

BID FOR COLDPLAY’S OLD INSTRUMENTS

Coldplay are cleaning out their closets. The band has announced that a ton of the instruments and memorabilia they have collected over the past decade are being put up for auction. The guys will be selling the items on eBay and have said that all the items will either be signed by all four members of Coldplay or will come with an authenticity certificate signed by the guys.
