JUSTIN BIEBER JOINS CHRISTMAS IN WASHINGTON

Justin Bieber is scheduled to perform on TNT’s holiday celebration Christmas In Washington, which airs Sunday, December 20th at 8 PM Eastern.   He will join Mary J. Blige, Neil Diamond, Sugarland, Rob Thomas and Usher.   George Lopez will host the one-hour event.   The 15-year-old Beiber has sold over 227-thousand copies of his debut album, My World, in just two weeks.   The soul-singing phenomenon first rose to prominence after he posted dozens of homemade videos on YouTube, putting his spin on songs from such artists as Usher, Ne-Yo and Stevie Wonder.   Christmas In Washington will be attended by President Barack Obama and First Lady Michelle and benefits the National Children’s Medical Center.  

LMFAO IN THE BIG APPLE

LMFAO will be bringing their Party Rock tour to New York City tonight at the Fillmore at Irving Plaza.   The band will be playing two shows, one at 7 PM and the other at 11 PM.   Shwayze, Far East Movement, Paradiso Girls and Lady Gaga’s DJ Space Cowboy will also be performing at the event.

ROB THOMAS’ MUSIC ON NBC

Rob Thomas’s song “Someday” is being featured in the promo for the season finale of The Biggest Loser.   If you’re watching NBC, be sure to keep an ear out for it!   The Biggest Loser finale airs Tuesday night at 8 PM Eastern.

TAYLOR TALKS GRAMMY NOMINATIONS

Taylor Swift was nominated for eight GRAMMY Awards and the country star is pretty excited about it.   Taylor told the Associated Press that she was “jumping up and down” and that she’s “ecstatic and blown away and so, so thankful.”   The singer-songwriter has been nominated in the past has never won. Will that change this year?   Find out when the GRAMMYs air live on January 31st on CBS.

JASON MRAZ IS ROOTING FOR COLBIE

Colbie Caillat was nominated for four GRAMMYs and Jason Mraz, who sang a duet with her on the song “Lucky,” took to his Twitter account to say that he’s feeling “lucky” that Colbie will take home an award.   He went on to compliment her some more, saying “that gal is gold.”   The GRAMMYs air on January 31st on CBS.

GAGA, THE FAMILY WOMAN

It’s not happening anytime soon, but Lady Gaga wants to start a family.   According to an interview she did with Elle magazine, the “Just Dance” singer said that she wants to “have babies” and a husband that “loves and supports” her.   Of course, she also mentioned that this would be in “eight to ten years” and that right now she’s just focusing on her career.

CARRIE UNDERWOOD IS NOW THE TOP-SELLING AMERICAN IDOL WINNER

Carrie Underwood has surpassed Kelly Clarkson as the highest selling American Idol alumnus (in the U-S).   This week’s sales of Carrie’s latest album, Play On, have pushed her career total albums sold to 10,539,000, while Kelly has sold 10,428,000.   Play On has already sold 656-thousand copies since its release last month.  

BEYONCE TO TAKE SOME TIME OFF

PerezHilton.com reports the hardest working woman in show business is ready to take a break. Beyonce Knowles plans to slow things down a bit in 2010 and “hopefully take a couple of months off.” Sasha Fierce wants to “perhaps take some art classes” or “visit some museums and check out some shows on Broadway.” The singer will travel “without anyone, without any security, and focus on things I’ve always wanted to do myself.” This comes just days after Bey announced that she is working on a new album — with influences from indie music.

KID CUDI SPILLS ON CUDDER LP

According to MTV News, not only has Kid Cudi completed five songs off his upcoming sophomore album but he has collaborated with Snoop Dogg, Pharrell and Jim Jonsin. The “Day N Nite” rapper told MTV that his Cudder LP will “be the complete opposite of what Man on the Moon was. Man on the Moon was so serious. This one is gonna be more playful and fun. It’s about having a good time.” No release date has been announced yet but fans should expect the disc to drop early 2010.

THE DREAM UPSET WITH GRAMMY SNUB

The Dream reportedly took to his official Twitter account to air out his frustrations on not being nominated for a GRAMMY Award. The “Rockin’ That Thang” singer tweeted that he finds it “funny that the best album of 2009, didn’t get nominated for the second year in a row.” He blames the lack of recognition on his “ass kissing skills” not being up to par. The Radio Killa concludes his rant by stating that “this ain’t no Kanye sh**…and yes I am b*tching.”

According to SingersRoom.com, Musiq Soulchild has just released a holiday album titled Christmas Musiq. The disc includes Christmas favorites such as “O Holy Night” and “The First Noel.” Get into the holiday spirit and purchase the singer’s new album, available at iTunes and Amazon.com now.

LIL WAYNE SAYS HE WAS RAPED AT 11 YEARS OLD

During a segment from Lil Wayne’s The Carter Documentary, the rapper recalled his earliest sexual encounter. Weezy vividly remembers being “raped” by a couple of women when he was 11 years old. Wayne claims the girls performed oral sex on him in front of his friends and he felt like “a different man afterwards.” The emcee jokingly admits that he “loved it” and “never pressed charges.”

GREEN DAY TEAM UP WITH AMERICAN IDIOT CAST FOR NEW “21 GUNS”

Green Day premiered a brand new version of their single “21 Guns” this week. The new rendition of the track features the band performing with the cast of American Idiot — a play based around the band’s 2004 album. Fans will be able to purchase the new track from digital retailers on December 22nd. The band filmed the recording of the song and plan on releasing a video for it in the coming weeks.

BECK, BEASTIES AND SANTIGOLD REMIX NORAH JONES

She may not be the first girl that comes to mind when you think of rock and roll, but Norah Jones has enlisted some pretty cool cats to remix her new album, The Fall. According to NME, Ad-Rock and Mike D from the Beastie Boys reworked one of the tracks as well as Beck and Santigold. The remixes are set to be released on vinyl in January.

CREED IN THEATERS ACROSS THE COUNTRY!

On Monday, December 7th, Creed Live will hit movie theaters across the country. One of the band’s live shows will be shown in full HD and 5.1 Surround Sound on movie screens everywhere. The concert that was recorded has already broken four Guinness Book of World Records including “most amount of cameras used to film a concert.” The gig was filmed on September 25th in Houston, Texas. According to Paramore’s photographer Brandon, the band has a special surprise in store for fans. Writing on Paramore.net, the man behind the lens says a “huge surprise is coming…I’m almost too excited to keep it a secret…but I will stay strong!” No word as to what the big reveal will be but we’ll be sure to keep you posted.
