BEYONCE WINS BIG AT MTV EMAS

Beyonce won three awards at the 16th annual MTV Europe Music Awards, which also marked the 20th anniversary of the fall of the Berlin Wall.   At the event, which was held at Berlin’s O2 World Arena, Bey won for Best Singer, Best Song for “Halo” and Best Video for “Single Ladies.” The ceremony featured live performances from U2 with Jay-Z, Green Day and more.   Hometown heroes Tokio Hotel won Best Group, Best Live Act went to U2, Jay-Z won Best Urban Act, Green Day won Best Rock Act and Lady Gaga won Best New Act.  

JOHN MAYER & TAYLOR SWIFT

MADONNA’S STICKY & SWEET TOUR WINS TOP TOUR

Madonna’s Sticky & Sweet tour was the big winner at the sixth annual Billboard Touring Awards, taking home honors for Top Tour and Top Draw, which acknowledge the highest-grossing and highest-attended tours of the year, respectively. Madonna’s manager, Guy Oseary, won the Top Manager award.   U2 won the Top Boxscore Award for the band’s shows at Croke Park in Dublin last July, and Dane Cook took home the Top Comedy Tour award.   The Jonas Brothers received the Eventful Fans’ Choice Award.

KATY PERRY GOES TO EUROPE

RIHANNA LINKS UP WITH NOKIA FOR ALBUM LAUNCH

Rihanna is teaming up with Nokia to play a concert at an undisclosed venue in London, England on November 16th. According to her official fan site, the “Russian Roulette” singer will perform new cuts off her upcoming Rated R album — which drops on November 23rd. In addition, the concert will be streamed live worldwide, making it one of the largest streaming events in history.

GREEN DAY TO ROCK NEW YEAR’S EVE

According to the Associated Press, Green Day has made their New Year’s Eve plans. The trio will be in New York, performing at NBC’s New Year’s Eve with Carson Daly in Times Square. Daly says he is “beyond excited” to have the band play at the annual event.

Jay-Z has decided to extend his North American BP3 tour into next year. Hova will reportedly bring Young Jeezy along as he visits new college campuses and select arenas.   The first leg wraps later this month, however the second leg will resume in late February in Houston. EVANESCENCE RETURN TO THE STAGE IN NYC

Evanescence made their great return to the stage with a show in New York City on Thursday night. Singer Amy Lee thanked the audience for being their “guinea pigs” before they headed off to play a show in front of 40-thousand fans in Brazil on Sunday. The band blazed through their back catalogue and in the end, Lee thanked fans and promised that new material was on its way.

50 CENT MET WITH BEANIE SIGEL

According to MTV News, 50 Cent admits that he has met with Beanie Sigel in an effort “to bring him over to G-Unit as a record company.” The mogul explained there is a process before Sigel can sign on the dotted line; however 50 stated that he is “looking to sign new artists into the actual company.” Hear the full interview at, MTV.com now.

DEATH CAB PERFORM NEW MOON TRACK

Death Cab For Cutie singer Ben Gibbard recently stopped by the KROQ studios in L-A where he performed an acoustic version of their track, “Meet Me on the Equinox,” taken from the Twilight Saga: New Moon soundtrack.
