OWL CITY AND NEW MOON TOP ITUNES CHART

Owl City’s “Fireflies” is the most downloaded song of the week on iTunes.   The band’s album, Ocean Eyes, also leaped up to number two, just behind The Twilight Saga: New Moon Soundtrack, which features songs from Death Cab for Cutie, Thom Yorke, Sea Wolf, Muse, OK Go and more.  

GAGA TALKS ABOUT BEYONCE VIDEO

Lady GaGa recently talked to a New York City radio station about the video she filmed with Beyonce for “Video Phone.”   GaGa told Beyonce that she wanted to do a fashion impersonation of Knowles.   She joked that while she was learning the choreography, the crew was calling her “Gee-yoncé.” Gaga also added that she and Beyoncé are working on music together but did not provide any additional details. Lady GaGa’s The Fame Monster will arrive in stores on November 24th.  

LADY GAGA AT THE MOCA

Lady GaGa will perform at the 30th anniversary of the Museum of Contemporary Art in Los Angeles.   GaGa will appear with the Bolshoi Ballet and will perform her song “Speechless.”   The event takes place on November 14th.  

LADY GAGA TALKS MADONNA, BEYONCE AND MORE

Lady Gaga was on the radio in New York City yesterday and the pop star discussed a wide range of topics.   According to PerezHilton.com, Gaga spoke about working with Beyonce, her Saturday Night Live sketch with Madonna, cancelling her tour with Kanye West and much more.   See what Gaga had to say about everything at PerezHilton.com.

TAYLOR TWEETS ABOUT GAGA

It seems that Lady Gaga she has a fan in Taylor Swift.   The country superstar took to her Twitter last night, saying “There’s nothing quite like singing along in the car to [Gaga’s Hit] ‘Paparazzi’ while actually being chased by paparazzi.”      

NICKELBACK’S “BURN IT TO THE GROUND”

Nickelback posted a new video for “Burn it to the Ground” on their Web site.   The video features the band’s energetic live show complete with concussion bombs, fire laser lights and more.   The band has sold over 2.3-million copies of their latest album, Dark Horse, since it was released just under one year ago.   Nickelback’s Dark Horse Tour resumes at the Brisbane Entertainment Center in Brisbane, Australia on November 10th.  

P!NK CONCERT DVD

Yesterday, P!nk released the new DVD, Funhouse Tour: Live in Australia.   It features moments from different shows on her amazing trek down under, including performances of all her hits like “Just Like a Pill” and “U + Ur Hand.”   PopEater.com has a clip of the song “Sober” on their Web site, so head there now to check it out.   The DVD is in stores now.

SLASH PLAYS WITH BLACK EYED PEAS

FALL OUT BOY REVEAL GREATEST HITS DETAILS

Details have emerged about Fall Out Boy’s upcoming greatest hits album. Believers Never Die, which comes out next month, features two new songs including one titled “Alpha Dog,” which fans can stream now at FallOutBoy.com. The release also features a DVD with 14 Fall Out Boy videos and more. Believers Never Die is out officially on November 17th.

MUSE LIKE KANYE

According to the New York Post, Muse seems to like Kanye West. The band, who performed at the VMAs back in September, said they met the rapper backstage at a U2 concert and that he seemed like a “very relaxed nice guy.” As for the famous Taylor Swift incident, Muse singer Matt Bellamy said, “I know most people were like ‘What the hell is he doing’ during the MTV VMA Awards, but I really think he didn’t intentionally want to hurt Taylor Swift. I think he genuinely feels bad for offending her.”

LILY ALLEN TO START HER OWN LABEL?

Lily Allen, label head?   Well according to British paper The Daily Star, the singer-songwriter wants to start her own record label, and if that weren’t enough, she even wants to own her own theater as well.   Very ambitious for a girl who recently said she was quitting music.   No word on when Lily wants to get her label up and running.

TRAIN TO TOUR EVEN MORE IN 2010

Train is currently out on the road with Uncle Kracker, supporting their most recent album, Save Me San Francisco, which hit shelves yesterday.   Guitarist Johnny Stafford spoke will Billboard.com, saying that the band intends to tour well into next year and also plans on making trips to Europe, Australia and even Japan, which would be the first time the ever ventured to the Land of the Rising Sun.   Read more about what the axe-man had to say at Billboard.com.

NORAH JONES TEAMS UP WITH VH1

Norah Jones has teamed up with Vh1 for the debut of the video for the first single off her forthcoming album, The Fall.   According to a press release, the vid for the song, “Chasing Pirates” can be seen now at Vh1.com, and it will officially premiere on Saturday morning at 9 AM Eastern as part of the Vh1 Top 20 Video Countdown.   The Fall is due in stores on November 17th.

LEONA LEWIS DOES MORE TO HELP ANIMALS

Leona Lewis is one of the music industry’s biggest supporters of animals, which explains why she was named PETA’s Person of the Year two times.   And now, the “Bleeding Love” singer is giving her time to the organization World Society for the Protection of Animals.   In a press release, Lewis called the group “amazing” and did a video and photo shoot for them.   Learn more info about the org and see Leona behind the scenes at WSPA-USA.org/LeonaLewis.

KID CUDI: “KANYE DOESN’T NEED THERAPY”

Kid Cudi spoke to MTV News and cleared up all rumors surrounding Kanye West’s mental health. The Cleveland rapper explained that ‘Ye is not receiving any medical attention and added, “I mean… rehab for what? Being awesome?”   Cudi looks at Yeezy like a “brother” and he assures everyone that he is just fine. Cudi concludes by saying “the things he’s dealt with, the things he’s been through. CHRIS BROWN RELEASES “TRANSFORM YA” VIDEO

Recently, Chris Brown announced that his Graffiti album will drop on December 15th, and now the singer has released the video for his lead single, “I Can Transform Ya” featuring Lil Wayne. AMERIE GETS HER “SWAG BACK”

As the release for Amerie’s In Love & War album draws near, new material continues to leak. A Jim Jonsin-produced track titled “Swag Back” has surfaced on YouTube. The cut is scheduled to appear on the “Heard Em All” singer’s upcoming effort. Be sure to get your copy when it drops on Tuesday.
