MADONNA SAYS SHE DIDN’T FIRE TRAINER
There were reports that Madonna fired her longtime trainer Tracy Anderson, but Madge is trying to put those rumors to rest. ContactMusic.com reports that Madonna told the New York Post that the two agreed to go their separate ways because the “Like a Prayer” singer “simply wanted to try a new method of working out” when he tour ended. She insists that they remain friends.
MADONNA THROWS DAUGHTER A B-DAY BASH
Madonna’s daughter Lourdes turned 13 last Wednesday and the pop star threw her quite a bash in New York City. According to the New York Daily News, Madge rented out a restaurant in the posh neighborhood of Soho and got her child a red-velvet birthday cake.
LEONA LEWIS’ ATTACKER CHARGED
The man accused of attacking Leona Lewis has been arrested and charged with assault. He was then taken to a psychiatric hospital. British paper The Sun reports that the assailant, 29-year-old Peter Kowalczyk, was jealous of the “Bleeding Love” singer because he was rejected when trying out for the show The X Factor, which Lewis won. The BBC reports that Lewis was forced to cancel a day of press in Germany following the attack, which took place last week.
SHAKIRA TEAMS UP WITH LIL WAYNE AND TIMBALAND
Shakira has released a new single featuring Lil Wayne and Timbaland. The tune is titled “Give It Up To Me” and is confirmed to appear on Timbaland’s upcoming Shock Value 2 album. The effort is also set to feature appearances by Lady Gaga and Katy Perry.
CASCADA SINGER BEING STALKED
Cascada singer Natalie Horler was being stalked by a man who left her strange messages and was desperate to meet her. Horler was so terrified she turned to her management to intervene. Her management found the man and pleaded with him to seek professional help.
BON JOVI ALL OVER NBC
Bon Jovi have signed a deal with NBC Universal to appear on their many networks and cable programming. The band will perform on NBC’s Today show on four Wednesdays in November, and lead singer Jon Bon Jovi will be a guest on cable channel Bravo’s Inside the Actor’s Studio, as well as the subject of a character showcase on USA. Music from the group’s forthcoming studio album The Circle, which will be released on November 12th, will also be featured heavily throughout NBC Universal’s channels.
U2, MADONNA AND AC/DC TOP BILLBOARD TOURING AWARDS
U2, Madonna and AC/DC top the nominees for the 2009 Billboard Touring Awards. The three acts are the finalists for the Top Tour and Top Draw awards. Awards are based on global box office numbers reported to Billboard Boxscore. Kings of Leon, Lil Wayne, Taylor Swift and Il Divo are all up for the Best Breakthrough Award this year. Billboard reports that the honors will be handed out in New York City on November 5th. <SH>

MGMT surprised fans on Friday with a show at The Independent in San Francisco. The announcement came on Friday via their MySpace blog and the show quickly sold out. MGMT are still touring behind their 2007 album Oracular Spectacular.
LIL WAYNE PREPS REBIRTH, YOUNG MONEY LP
MTV News reports Lil Wayne’s upcoming Rebirth album will not be released simultaneously with his much hyped Carter IV LP. If anything, Weezy says his rock-effort could potentially be accompanied by a Young Money All-Star disc. When that day will come is still unknown. MTV reports a rep from Wayne’s label confirmed that the Young Money project will drop sometime in December; however there was no confirmation dates for Wayne’s albums.
WHITNEY HOUSTON INSPIRED CELINE DION
Mega producer Tricky Stewart told Rap-Up.com that Celine Dion was so inspired by Whitney Houston’s title track “I Look to You” that she personally reached out to him. Stewart recalls Celine being so blown away that she wants him to contribute to her upcoming album. According to EOnline, Kanye West’s much anticipated Pastelle clothing line will not be hitting stores anytime soon – in fact…ever. Just last week, pictures surfaced of new pieces from the line, however it’s been confirmed the line has been canceled. ‘Ye is still looking to launch a collection under his own name in the near future. UPDATE ON KANYE’S NEXT ALBUM
ContactMusic.com reports Kanye West’s upcoming album will be much different than his previous 808s & Heartbreak effort. According to his close pal, Mr. Hudson, West will leave the auto-tune alone on his next project as he returns to his traditional rap roots. In fact, Hudson admits ‘Ye could potentially release “an old-school record on a tape deck, just like the Beastie Boys used to do. Just a drum machine, ghetto blaster and a microphone.” Only time will tell, we’ll keep you posted.
