Pitbull was honored with the key to the city of Miami at a ceremony on Wednesday. The Cuban-American performer and Miami native, whose real name is Armando Christian Perez, was presented with the key by Miami Commissioner Thomas Regalado. Pitbull burst onto the mainstream scene this year with his single, “I Know You Want Me (Calle Ocho),” which topped charts worldwide and reached number two on the Billboard Hot 100 chart. Pitbull’s often used nickname, “Mr. 305,” refers to Miami’s area code. His fourth album, Rebelution, is set to drop on August 31st.
