BLACK EYED PEAS TOP HOT 100 CHART FOR 19TH WEEK

According to Billboard, the Black Eyed Peas and Jason Mraz have caught up to chart records set by Usher and LeAnn Rimes, setting the stage for two new chart milestones on next week’s Billboard Hot 100.   With 19 consecutive weeks at number one, the Peas tie Usher’s record for most consecutive frames atop the chart.   Usher did it with hits “Yeah!” and “Burn” in 2004.   The Black Eyed Peas’ “I Gotta Feeling” is number one this week, and if it stays put next week, Usher’s record will be overtaken.   Mraz’ “I’m Yours” jumps 12 spots to number 23 on the Hot 100, tying LeAnn Rimes’ “How Do I Live” for the longest Hot 100 chart run with 69 weeks.   Meanwhile, Taylor Swift’s “You Belong With Me” climbs one spot to number two, as the song becomes Swift’s fourth number one hit on the Hot Country Songs chart. Drake follows at number three with “Best I Ever Had,” while Keri Hilson remains at number four with “Knock You Down” featuring Kanye West and Ne-Yo. Kings of Leon hold steady at number five with “Use Somebody,” while Jay Sean “Down” featuring Lil Wayne remains at number six.   Cobra Starship’ “Good Girls Go Bad” featuring Leighton Meester rises three notches to number seven, Sean Kingston falls one spot to number eight with “Fire Burning” and Pitbull scores his second top ten hit with “Hotel Room Service” at number nine. The Black Eyed Peas’ “Boom Boom Pow” drops two spots to number ten.   Elsewhere, Shakira’s “She Wolf” jumps eight spots to number 13.   Selena Gomez scores the highest debut this week as “Magic” comes in at number 61.   Madonna’s “Celebration” debuts at number 71, while Whitney Houston’s “I Look To You” arrives at number 74. This marks Madonna’s 55th entry on the Hot 100, while it’s Houston’s 38th.
