As previously reported, guitarist Joe Satriani is suing Coldplay for infringing copyright, alleging that the band’s hit song “Viva La Vida” uses substantial portions of his own tune “If I Could Fly.” According to MusiciRadar.com, law firm Kilpatrick Stockton LLP noted that the “surprisingly detailed” analyses of both songs posted by fans on YouTube, many of them side by side comparisons, could be admitted as evidence if the case goes to trial.
