MEREDITH MEYER RELEASES ‘IT’S SPOOKY TO BE YOUNG’

Songwriter and musician Meredith Meyer will be releasing her 2nd full length album, It’s Spooky To Be Young, on April 8, 2009 in Los Angeles, CA.   The album was produced by Bill Racine, who has been known for his work with Rogue Wave, Mates of State, Mark Gardener (of Ride), and his work alongside Flaming Lips producer Dave Fridmann.   The release party will be held on April 8th in Los Angeles and feature a performance of the record with Meyer’s full band.

A native of Oklahoma City, OK, Meyer came to Los Angeles in her early years and began singing and writing for numerous bands and projects.   She recorded her first album Items You Won’t Find Elsewhere with Brian Kehew (AIR, Beck, Aimee Mann, Moog Cookbook), which she released independently.   After “delving back into writing, playing shows, and paying bills” for the following two years, she started the search to create the next record.   She got connected with Racine’s manager via friends in Oklahoma, and recorded her sophomore album at his studio in Chicago, IL.
