5 QUESTIONS FEAT COOPER PHILLIP

So today we have the beautiful and talented Cooper Phillip. This songstress had a huge 2016 and she is ready for an even bigger 2017. Join us today and lets get familiar with this rising star!

Where are we talking from today and how did you celebrate the holidays and New Years?

We’re talking from the beautiful and sunny Bahamas! I celebrated the holidays with family and friends locally in Los Angeles. New Year’s Eve was a lot of fun and intimate at a friends house party.

What are you most promoting now in regards to a new single, tour, venture, etc?

I’m promoting my upcoming EP “Thank you Heartbreak” and a remix for my new single called “party by myself.” I am happy to say that the single has 2 million spins so far!

When you look back on 2016 what are you most proud of?

I took some time developing a new and consistent sound. We spent 8 months in the lab writing songs and shaping the new direction. In total, we wrote 25 songs of which I picked 5 for the upcoming EP. I am very proud of all of the hard work and songs that came out of these sessions! Now, I’m excited for 2017 when the world will get to hear the music!

Looking forward to 2017 what are 2 music based goals you want to attain and how will you achieve that?

The 2 music based goals I wish to attain are to go on tour with the new show I am currently working on and to merge with a major label to help fuel the music direction I’m already heading in. I am a performer to the core, being out in front of people inspires me musically in the studio. And with the right partnership, I’ll be able to move the needle more efficiently!

When it comes to consuming music do you most prefer buying or streaming and what sites/apps do you use?

Both. Streaming is becoming more and more popular and convenient. I love it because it is a great way to break through for a new artist without radio. My favorite streaming app is Spotify. I think streaming has already changed the music industry tremendously and will continue to do so. The reason why I still buy music is because it is still the most direct way to support artist you like. The artist gets very little from their song being streamed.
