Brantley Gilbert’s The Devil Don’t Sleep Lands Jan. 27

For Brantley Gilbert, his back-to-back platinum success comes from writing about his life – and watching the people who live like he does respond. If Halfway To Heaven was the story of a young man in the clutches of all it means to be wild, and Just As I Am considered the consequences of the life and the good times getting there, The Devil Don’t Sleep marks the next phase of the working class country icon in the making’s life.

Sixteen songs on the regular disc. Ten more on the Deluxe Edition. It’s a whole lot of music from country music’s hardest hitting songwriter/artist. It’s also a lot of life lived.

“A lot has happened,” marvels the man nominated for CMA Song of the Year for Jason Aldean’s signature “Dirt Road Anthem.” “And anyone who knows me knows that every album is another chapter of my life. Even though it’s my life, even though some of what I write about is very specific to what happens to me, I think the challenges, the places where we figure things out are all the same – no matter what we’re facing, realizations all mean the same things.”

The music board game that toured with BLUE OCTOBER

Open up the box and start singing! That is what Spontuneous® is all about!

Have you ever heard a word that “triggered” you to sing a song? If so, then YOU are Spontuneous®!

In August 2009 Rob Ridgeway of Billings, MT gathered around the table with family and friends engaging in your average conversations. Little did he know that this casual hangout would lead to the idea for Spontuneous®, the fun family board game where everyone participates by singing.

“Spontuneous®?” you ask, “what does that even mean?” Pronounced spon-toon-ee-as, the name is a combination of the words “spontaneous” and “tunes,” which perfectly described people who spontaneously burst into song after hearing a particular word! Ridgeway later defined Spontuneous® as, “Acting on the natural tendency to burst into song.”

So what’s the game like? Well in summary, Dan McMaster said it best, “Spontuneous® will totally change the way you listen to music!” One player says a word and the race is on for the others to sing a song containing that word. The last player to sing their song that contains that word before time runs out wins the point. The singing competition is on from start to finish. Don’t worry though, talent is not required!

Two Tongues – “Azalea”

The “Azalea” video premiered yesterday on Noisey.com, accompanied by an in-depth interview w/ Max + Chris. The song is everything you would expect from Conley and Bemis. The video is centered around two young children meant to represent Max and Chris (or their inner children). It follows the two carefree young men as they let their imagination run wild in an anarchistic day of reckless abandonment and adventure; much the way Max and Chris do with the Two Tongues project as a whole.
