ONLY SUN – Announce New Single “It’ll Be Alright” Out 27th June On Closeup + Autumn UK Tour

Initially written one drab, rainy day in High Wycombe as the band found themselves daydreaming of Summer, the five piece set about penning a track that would beam straight through the gloom and transport them there sooner. With the quintet hitting upon a shared belief that simply: “life is just better with a little sunshine”, their sunny-side-up outlook in turn began shape the warm palette of sounds and words found to radiate from their latest studio recording.

Sub Dio Announce Debut EP

It’s always a good day when you check your inbox and find new music from Brian Moss. Today, I’m happy to introduce Sub Dio, a band that consists of a lot of familiar faces from the Bay Area punk scene. Featuring former members of Great Apes, The Ghost, and Reunions, Sub Dio play a brand of punk that is rooted in urgency and aggression. Their self-titled debut will release on July 19th but you can get a preview of what’s to come by listening to “Skeeters” today. The song is a direct response to predatory, parasitic, and incessant behavior many men feel entitled to exhibit towards women. Brian and Danica’s dual vocal approach is a shot to the gut and demands your attention. Head over to No Echo for the exclusive.

Whiskey Gang – ‘I Can Be…’

A drill / rap song about mental health awareness?

WhiskeyGang ‘s new single ‘I Can Be…’ sees rap artist Walter Whyte discuss the paradoxes of mental health conditions with such flow and conviction that this is worth further inspection. A call-and-response style of questioning of character traits, god and society makes the audience ask are these warnings on descriptions? Standouts being,

‘I can be generous and I can be a teef, I can be a problem or can I be the relief?’

Anna Wieb – “I Felt It In The Wind”

“”I Felt It In The Wind” is the newest single I’m highlighting off of the LP. I wrote and recorded a demo all on one rainy 4/20 a couple years ago, this is sort of like my one that got away song.”

SPILL MUSIC PREMIERE: PAUL JACKS – “IN OTHER WORDS”

Watch dreamy music video for Sonny Santos and Billie Marten’s duet ‘swear 2 g-d’, Billboard premiere

The subtle style and the pair’s lilting harmonies reflect the ways in which a romance can gently unfold. As opposed to a fantastical on-screen passion of kissing in the rain and dramatic proclamations of amour, ‘swear 2 g-d’ is so much more about the everyday moments, those little things that add up until your life becomes entirely entwined with another.

Listen to Lightning Bug’s dreamy new single “October Song, pt. ii”

about the song, Audrey Kang (Lightning Bug) shares:

“One night last year in Spring, I was caught beneath a storm of doubt. My idea of what was right morphed as I asked question after question, like a child. In the morning, the birds moved soft and easy through the tree. The buds at the tips of the branches quivered with the yearning to be realized. Then, I wrote this song.”

#pride: micki maverick honors GF and women everywhere with “FINE,” premiered via Nylon

Dylan Neil, aka micki maverick, shares “Let me tell you, my girl is truly fine as wine. Needless to say this track was written for her. I’ve been with my girlfriend since we were both 17, and to say the least she has seen me through some of my darkest moments. These past 4 years with her have been the best and most authentic of my life. When I met her I was a chameleon, I’d change myself slightly for whatever social situation I found myself in. I never wanted people to see the real me out of fear that I would be rejected, but there is something about her that made me feel like I didn’t need to cover up and hide. She spoke up for me when others stayed silent, and she gave me all the love I needed when no one else would.
