Multi-platinum Grammy, Juno and Polaris Prize nominated singer/songwriter Carly Rae Jepsen releases new song “Too Much” today, May 9, via all digital retailers. Jepsen worked on “Too Much” with John Hill, Jordan Palmer and Noonie Bao. “Too Much” will be featured on Jepsen’s upcoming album Dedicated, which will be released May 17th on Schoolboy/Interscope Records.

teven A. Clark released his excellent Where Neon Goes To Die LP last year via Secretly Canadian; an album inspired by 80s pop and R&B in the vein of a Peter Gabriel Meets Frank Ocean. Today he dropped a Theophilus London remix of “Evil Woman” from the album. London adds an airy, tropical rendition of the song along with a new verse. “It’s refreshing to work with up and coming kids like Steven A. Clark who push the mold a bit further. He’s one to watch!” London says of the Miami based artist. Clark adds “Theophilus is a young legend who I’ve been a fan of for since the beginning. TENGGER is a traveling musical family, made up of Pan-Asian couple, itta and Marqido, who create their brand of psychedelic New-Age drone magic through the use of harmonium, voice, and toy instruments (played by itta) and analogue synths (played by Marqido). The duo originally started out with the moniker “10” but since the birth of their son RAAI (who joins them on tour and often on stage) in 2012, have called themselves TENGGER (meaning ‘unlimited expanse of sky’ in Mongolian) to mark the expansion of the family. It also means ‘huge sea’ in Hungarian.

Detroit based post-rock, indie sextet Bars of Gold recently put out new LP SHELTERS and today they’ve released a video from it for “$20”. Directed and animated by guitarist Scotty Iulianelli the video is a visual representation of how he sees the world. Since suffering a concussion in 2016 where he was knocked unconscious for an undetermined amount of time Iulianell started to see the world in a new way where geometry and math in the universe started to reveal itself differently. His new perspective flows through the video with explosive colors, shapes, and vividly illustrated portraits of the band.

Into The Pain explodes with FIXATION’s take on classic hardcore, unloading four ripping tracks in under five minutes. NEEDSHES offer a signature alternative rock foundation with elements of blues, funk, soul, punk and R&B. From Tashkent, Uzbekistan, the band is gearing up for the release of their forthcoming album, Truth Power, due out May 3rd via AWAL. Throughout the album, the band intertwines the power of truth and how truth is power combined with hidden metaphors, life stories, and easy-to-follow imagery underlying the collection. This is evident in their latest single, “Sometimes I Can Fly,” a more theatrical tune with a mythical atmosphere, reminiscent of the anthemic tunes of Queen, David Bowie, The Beach Boys, U2, and The Killers. The dramatic life-affirming ode, is a call for our conscious recognition of our past mistakes to burst into tears of joy from awareness. Within the song, the main character feels helpless, but despite all obstacles in his way, he reminds the listener that it is possible to move forward.

The video for “For Real,” the latest previously unreleased single to debut from Tom Petty and The Heartbreakers, is premiering today. The loving video was directed by Tom’s daughter, Adria Petty, and features archival footage and photos as well as intimate, behind-the-scenes moments of Tom and the band. Throughout his storied career, Petty did everything with authenticity—putting the music and his fans first. It is this sentiment that he sings about in the poignant and autobiographical song “For Real.”
