Black Smith was born on June 18 in Newark, New Jersey. At the age of 8, Smith and his family moved to West Palm Beach, Florida. His passion for music developed at an early age. After being inspired by life events, other artists in the hip-hop community, and the impact his music was making on others, Smith decided to pursue his destiny of being a respected artist. In 2006, Smith joined the rap group, Murk Squad, and soon-after released a mixtape titled Young & Hustlin Vol. #1. The mixtape gained some traction and led the group to perform at a variety of clubs and other venues.
In 2011, Black Smith, along with few members from Murk Squad opened Murkdamic Studios; a well-known recording studio in Palm Beach County. Smith and his team traveled to New Orleans, Atlanta, Miami, and New York to work with world-renowned producers and artists. One such producer working closely with Smith is Jerry Wonda; a 20-time Grammy nominee who produced music for artists including LL Cool J, Movado, Frenchi, B.O.B, and Chanel West Coast. Smith’s most recent songs are called “Pussy Rich” and “Rise”, both featuring King Charlton.
