LA indie rockers, Balto, have just debuted their textured new single “I Still Don’t Know What Love Is” via Buzzbands. The song perfectly marries powerful lyrics that describe the uncertainty and the inevitability of growing older, with emotionally-rich acoustic guitars to create a soul-searching tune about the ebbs and flows of love. Lead singer of Balto, Dan Sheron, exposes his confusing and temperamental relationship with love, and puts into song how “there’s so much collective pressure pushing some version of so-called objective truth – what deeply personal emotions like love are supposed to feel like, what they’re supposed to mean. Maybe the others are right, maybe they’re all full of shit, I still don’t know.”

a. harlana – “textile workers”
Juno Roome could be America’s poster child for “Least Suspicious Egomaniac,” which is hilarious considering he printed 500 f*cked up business cards. He really wanted a much larger font. (Editor’s note: I’m very happy with the cards.) So that between the business cards and the new guitar, he could pull off subtly overcompensating with a hip aesthetic. Juno also powerlifts and subsists off chicken and vegetables, which makes him the nerdiest bro I know. And is honestly sad because he’ll never be truly accepted by nerds, or validated by bros. He is an art bro, a breed all their own.

Following the recent announcement of his upcoming album Supersoft, queer Indiana singer-songwriter Joey Walker shares new single “On Top.” We’ve partnered with Wussy Mag to bring you this sexual, hypnotic murder ballad. Wussy called the track, “a slow-burning wailer,” and highlights how the “stark instrumentation and general melancholy capture the loneliness of anonymous sex with strangers.” Walker’s music is full of emotional complexities coupled with raw and sometimes unhinged songwriting reminiscent of his heroes Jason Molina and Tom Waits.
