Guided By Voices Share “My Angel” Track On A.V. Club
A.V. Club has shared another gem from Guided By Voices, premiering their new single “My Angel”. After 2018’s critically acclaimed Space Gun LP and a string of jaw-dropping, sold-out shows, Guided By Voices has announced a sprawling double-album, Zeppelin Over China to be released on February 1. But before this one has even made it to stores, Robert Pollard has written and recorded another full-length in record-breaking time. It’s Warp and Woof (April 2019), exuberantly barreling through 24 songs in just 37 minutes with a brevity similar to mid-90s GBV albums Alien Lanes and Vampire On Titus. GBV kicked this one out in a flash, recorded in studios, club soundchecks, hotel rooms and even in the tour van. And because you can never have too much GBV, the album is being teased on four vinyl-only (1000 copies) limited edition 7-inch EPs: Winecork Stonehenge and 100 Dougs will be released on December 7, Umlaut Over The Özone and 1901 Acid Rock in March.

Formed of Diane Thibault at vocals, Olivier Roy on the drums, André Labrecque on bass and Nicholas Roy on guitar, they first established in 2011 as a cover band bearing the name Ghettoblaster. They changed their name in 2017 to dedicate themselves more seriously to their own compositions. Today, indie rockers A Fragile Tomorrow share the track and video for their new single “Generation Loss” and announce a new full-length album of the same title, due February 22, 2019. The band has also released a string of East Coast tour dates lined up for next year, with the promise of more shows to be announced in the coming months. The dates span Georgia, South Carolina, North Carolina, Pennsylvania, and New York.
“Generation Loss” uses the technical term as an analogy between today’s younger, grossly in-debt, “slacker” generation and the more “practical” predecessors — all of them striving for conflicting versions of the ‘American Dream.’

Roosevelt — née Marius Lauber — today shared a new video for “Losing Touch” via Brooklyn Vegan off his sophomore LP Young Romance, released late September via City Slang/Greco-Roman. Director Luke Bather explains the clip, which features various clones of Lauber as a literal “one man band,” saying: “I wanted the video to echo the song’s ideas of being on tour & away from your friends and family – only really having yourself for company.
