Mountain Man’s First Album in 8 Years, Magic Ship, out Today on Nonesuch
Mountain Man’s first album in eight years, Magic Ship, is out today on Nonesuch Records. In celebration, the band embarks on a fourteen-city US tour—its first in six years—beginning October 22 in Washington, DC. Other stops on the tour include Brooklyn, Chicago, Seattle, and Los Angeles (full schedule below). The record, Mountain Man’s first on Nonesuch, includes eleven original songs written by the trio—Amelia Meath, Alexandra Sauser-Monnig, and Molly Sarlé—as well as interpretations of Ted Lucas’ “Baby Where You Are,” Michael Hurley’s “Blue Mountain,” and the traditional hymn, “Bright Morning Stars.” A video for the album track “Rang Tang Ring Toon” may be seen here.

Bumsy and the Moochers (Ska/Pop Punk) is ‘Spaced Out’ Today
Imminence Records is pleased to announce their signing of Chicago’s Ska/Pop Punk outfit Bumsy and the Moochers! The sextet has released their rocking lead single, “The Truth,” off their forthcoming label debut entitled Spaced Out. The full length is slated for a September 21st release before the band plays the Punk The Burbs Fest 2018 the next night.

Following on from the critical acclaim of their debut EP ‘Playing Dead’ last year, Bristol based four-piece The Desert return with the mood-stricken single ‘Gone’, lifted from their forthcoming new EP.
Sounding like a cross between Little Dragon and Portishead, the outfit have given this new material a more dramatic and sentimental tone, which sees them coming to terms with and overcoming loss.

Young Dolph Sets an Example with Role Model Album
Memphis kingpin Young Dolph took an independent path, but he’s a major rap star. Asserting himself as an everyman-turned-superman, Dolph shares Role Model, his new studio album. Released by Paper Route EMPIRE/EMPIRE, Role Model provides a new context for Dolph’s braggadocio and sets an example for rising independent rappers and anyone else trying to get out the mud. Ricky Remedy Releases Dim Mak Debut EP “Triage”
Latin Grammy-nominated artist Ricky Remedy unleashes a fierce collection of trap productions on his Dim Mak debut EP Triage. Opening with “Road Rage (Go Stoopid),” premiered today on Run The Trap, Ricky teams up with Philadelphia’s ferocious rapper Bok Nero to seamlessly merge the hip hop and electronic sides of trap. Ricky punches up the 808s and distorted synths on “PREE MI,” keeping the energy flowing with the help of vocals from Yuneer Gainz.
