Shannon Shaw Premieres Music Video For “Freddies ‘n’ Teddies” Via Noisey
This morning, Shannon Shaw debuts her new music video for “Freddies ‘n’ Teddies” via Noisey, who call it “a slow-burning slice of pop noir, like a lost Nancy Sinatra recording cut after a night sleeping in Donna Summer’s satin sheets.” The video, for the second single off Shaw’s forthcoming debut album Shannon In Nashville (June 8, Easy Eye Sound), was directed by Hannah Lew and features Shaw backed by a full band of animatronic teddy bears. Shaw reveals: “I think that there is no better backing band for me….seriously cannot think of one better idea than a full blown teddy bear band! This song was probably the furthest from my wheelhouse and I’m so glad we did it. It’s kind of the ultimate example of the variety on this record. Mountainfilm Hosts World Premiere of “Return to Mount Kennedy” Documentary on May 25th, 2018
Telluride Mountainfilm has announced that on May 25th, 2018 it will host the world premiere of Return to Mount Kennedy – an 80-minute documentary film that follows the sons of Senator Robert F. Kennedy and mountaineering icon Jim Whittaker as they embark on an expedition fifty years after their fathers’ historic first ascent of the remote mountain. Directed by Eric Becker, this compelling, intimate story artfully weaves past and present into a narrative that spans generations.
What I initially thought would be a short film about our expedition turned into the biggest project I’ve ever undertaken. After four years of work it’s really satisfying to be able to premier it in front of the Mountainfilm community. – Eric Becker
