Norwegian Arms Premieres New Track “Find Truth”
Six years, two EPs and one album since his Siberian sojourn, Keith Birthday of Norwegian Arms has turned his focus away from the confines of his tiny apartment in the Taiga which largely informed the songs on Wolf Like a Stray Dog. That doesn’t mean that the sunny folk music generated by his time in Tomsk, Russia has become any less relevant, or that the sound has changed drastically. Instead, it’s morphed from real-time cultural awe and suffering to nostalgia, and while the memories remain, new ones have taken their place. That being said, nothing has, or perhaps ever will, replace the childhood mandolin on which these songs are written, perhaps the only constant in this ever-evolving project.
PETE YORN’S NEW VIDEO, “SHE WAS WEIRD”

She directed it herself in a very DIY fashion. We think Flavia really captured the spirit of the song and couldn’t be happier to share this with everyone. Stay weird!”
Rayon (Notwist’s Markus Acher) shares nostalgic video for “Kona”
As the name suggests, the spaces between notes here are treated with as much gravity as the notes themselves – arpeggios spiralling upwards, conflicting yet interlocking in a dizzying overlap of time signatures. An obvious reference point is Javanese gamelan, with its ensemble of hand-beaten metallophones and bamboo flutes, pulling in all directions at once and yet, like a starling murmuration, maintaining shape as one, rippling whole. Today, Acher shared the nostalgic video for “Kona” with FLOOD Magazine.

J. Stalin – “Cindafella” ft. Young Doe
It’s the classic fairy tale: Cinderella transforms for an evening from a beleaguered servant into an elegant princess in order to win her Prince Charming. However, as Bay Area rapper J. Stalin proves, there is a fair amount of deception that goes unmentioned in that ages old story. The latest video single from On Behalf of the Streets 2, “Cindafella” inverts the famous tale, with Stalin playing the titular character over a lush instrumental courtesy of The Mekanix with twinkling keys, rubbery bass, and angelic vocal samples. Featuring an appearance from Denver’s Young Doe, the video finds Stalin in a tropical resort with video vixen September Reign, basking under palm trees and relaxing in a hammock. Though it might seem as if Stalin is the perfect gentleman, the West Oakland veteran has other intentions in mind. Explains J. Stalin, “she thinks she’s spending the night with Prince Charming, but I turn into a dirtbag at midnight.”

S.O. releases captivating single shot video for “Fall”
Lamp Mode artist S.O. is releasing a video for his new song “Fall” today.
Fall is the third video production from S.O.’s recently released EP These Things Take Time, as Lamp Mode’s first international artist previously released videos for I See You and New Wave (feat. Canon).
“Fall” is the deepest and most introspective song on These Things Take Time, and the simplistic genius of the video perfectly matches the emotional tone of the song. Unlike “New Wave” where S.O. and Canon bring a ton of energy to the video, Fall is a one-shot video of S.O. against black background.
With the mood suggesting something important is about to be said, S.O. then pours out his heart on a myriad of topics. “People love when I just loop a beat and spit about a variety of topics,” S.O. said, “and this song is no different.”
