GRANDPARENTS NEW VIDEO
“Summers in Portland, Oregon are fleeting moments in time that seem to end as soon as they have begun. Filmmaker Emma Hall-Martin lovingly filtered this concoction through the instant nostalgia of 8mm film, hoping it would yield appropriately melted results,” said guitarist Dylan White about their new video for “Kids In The Hall.”
Capturing the quintessential Portland summer experience by hanging out at the river with friends, performing at a house show, lighting off fireworks, and eating a burger in the bathtub (everyone does that right?), Grandparents give us one last look at summer before the rain clouds move in.

VOID OF SLEEP ALBUM TEASER
“New World Orderrepresents to us a new culmination of our sound,” issues of the band of their latest compositions. “Now more than ever you can call it visionary, sludgy and progressive. It’s an occult, esoteric and wicked metaphor to the modern society as we consider it: with no positive expectations of the future of this world. This album embraces the concept of evil in its purest form. Since the beginning, man has been doomed to consume and enslave and destroy his own kind in an absurd discord to the final extinction.”

DAVID LANE RELEASES NEW EP
Country rocker David Lane is set to release his sophomore EP Hello Georgia Oct. 23 via MuSick Recordings with the video and single “Blackberry Wine” out Sept. 16. Lane co-wrote all the songs on the EP, including five with Nashville Songwriters Hall of Fame Member Roger Murrah, who also produced the project. The two began working together in the fall of 2013 as co-writers, a relationship that quickly evolved into Murrah signing on to produce an entire EP, “David is a pleasure to work with, which has made the process a no-brainer for me.”
Hello Georgia kicks off with “Recession”, a hard hitting tell-it-like-it-is mid tempo song about the working man’s struggle, properly preparing the listener that this is not your typical Nashville country recording. Hailing from southern Georgia, Lane pays homage to his hometown state on the title track “Hello Georgia” showcasing his emotional lyrics and songwriting craft. The up-tempo single “Blackberry Wine” is an obvious lead from the EP; Lane shines vocally and cements his own unique blend of country-rock, somewhere between Lynyrd Skynyrd and Zac Brown Band. The projected second single is “San Francisco and You” ─ a haunting ballad about love lost in the City By The Bay, where Lane and Murrah’s lyric and melody prowess shines brightly.

OUTASIGHT “BIG TROUBLE”

Now that we’re post Labor Day, and the summer has unofficially ended, the LA-by-way-of-Yonkers crooner has set himself up for a Fall that will dwarf the undeniable buzz around OU created this past summer.

“WERE YOU BORN INTO THE WRONG RACE?”
Veteran television casting director Jacqui Pitman is a true powerhouse in the reality TV world when it comes to finding the right talent for some of TV’s hottest shows. Most recently, her agency, Pitman Casting Inc., has been selected by Screaming Flea Productions, the producers of the critically acclaimed television series “Hoarders,” to conduct a nationwide casting search for a new groundbreaking television series which asks “Were you born into the wrong race?” Pitman is in search of people who genuinely feel they were born into the wrong racial group. Selected parties, who truly believe they have been misidentified racially, will appear on the thought provoking series airing on a major cable network. Screaming Flea Productions, one of the country’s leading producers of non-fiction programming, will produce the series.
The casting call, which is open to all nationalities, is a particularly sensitive one in light of recent current events. Both Rachel Dolezal, the former president of a local NAACP chapter and Shaun King, a prominent leader in the Black Lives Matter movement, have instigated far reaching conversation and made mainstream news headlines with unresolved issues concerning racial ambiguity. Both parties have been accused of masquerading as African American.
Interested persons of all races, who are experiencing a racial identity crisis, should apply by Friday, September 25, 2015 at https://pitmancastinginc.formstack.com/forms/race_project or call 818-666-3606 for more details.
