December 2014, Seattle, WA: Award winning Seattle duo Science! is starting 2015 off with a brand new album – Alcoves and Alleyways – set to be released digitally on January 20th, 2015. The 11 track album is Science!’s first full length work and is the culmination of three years of writing and recording.
Alcoves and Alleyways is an album that mixes the soaring virtuosic guitar of multi-instrumentalist and producer Jim Elenteny with the daring political and social justice lyrics of Justin Stang’s heartbreak and loss. With heavy blues, rock, reggae and jam influences, the album follows a blistering tour schedule over two years and 200 shows across the United States and aims to put the music world on notice: The guitar is alive and well in the Pacific Northwest.

David Strange was a session musician and former guitarist in Courtney Love’s band, who was privately writing music until Charlotte Kemp Muhl from The Ghost of a Saber Tooth Tiger heard his songs and asked to become his producer. What followed is the upcoming, self-titled EP, David Strange. Charlotte also sings gorgeous back-up vocals and plays bombastic drums on the recordings. David will be releasing his debut S/T EP on January 20th.

KIND OF LIKE SPITTING SONG ON VICE
Kind of Like Spitting formed in 1996 in Portland, Oregon. The band, led by singer-songwriter Ben Barnett, regularly toured in the US and released twelve albums in seven years. They broke-up in 2006 but Barnett re-formed the band earlier this year. The current lineup consists of Barnett, (guitar/vocals), Brian Grant (bass) and Dante Johnson (drums).
Rockford, IL indie pop/emo stalwarts Warren Franklin & The Founding Fathers’ most recent effort was a split with Mikey Erg (ex-The Ergs) earlier this fall on Count Your Lucky Stars. The band will release their next LP soon.

Following a whirlwind run of dates opening for Elton John, BRIGHT LIGHT BRIGHT LIGHT (a.k.a. Rod Thomas) is set to release the four-track There Are No Miracles EP on January 13, 2015. Taken from his second album LIFE IS EASY, the radio edit of “There Are No Miracles” will accompany three live tracks from the Elton John tour, including “Disco Moment”, “Cry At Films”, and “I Believe”.

Out Of Wilderness is the name of Oblivious third album. Heavy rock and strong melodies have always been the characteristics for the Swedish band. With a changed lineup, a new studio and a new label the band blossomed and found new confidence. With their already strong and compelling groove the band have focused on building stronger choruses and developing vocal harmonies in Studio Underjorden, a studio that previously recorded bands as Year of the goat, Night and Vanhelgd. The biggest change can be found in going from two to one guitarist, bringing forward a more crisp and classic guitar sound, giving more space for the primal groove and the wilderness in the songs. Album artwork is made by Mattias Frisk that has work with artists as Ghost BC, Night and Morbus Chron.
