Bad Suns are beyond pleased to share the powerful new video for their single “Salt,” which was inspired by conversations between front-man Christo and a close friend experiencing gender dysphoria. Directed by award winning dancer, Daniel ‘Cloud’ Campos (appeared in Step Up 3D,The Uprising Begins and also directed Panic! At the Disco’s ‘This is Gospel’ and Paramore’s ‘Now’), the video uses powerful imagery and choreographed dance sequences to portray a transgender individual’s struggles with body image and identity and the journey through transition.
“As a band, our mission is to create art that evokes emotion. ‘Salt’ was written to universalize the idea of feeling trapped in the wrong body. As a band that had been fairly reserved in the past, we aim to make a statement with this music video. It is about the journey towards fulfillment and acceptance of oneself, “ says Christo.
