Borne through a collective desire for creative performance and exquisite, edgy music, The Courtesans’ debut album ‘1917’ is a shape-shifting collection of works drawing influence from metal, electro-pop and the far reaches of dubstep.
The band settled into the studio in late 2013 to make permanent their library collection of cinematic tracks, taking inspiration from their hypnotising live shows that have seen hot wax pouring and almost-burlesque theatre entwine with The Courtesans’ core gig performances.
