ANDY MILNE & DAPP THEORY TO RELEASE ‘FORWARD IN ALL DIRECTIONS’
Forward In All Directions, the new album from Andy Milne & Dapp Theory will be released worldwide on September 9, 2014. Produced by Grammy Award winner Jimmy Haslip, and featuring guest performances from Ben Monder, Jean Baylor and Gretchen Parlato, the album is Dapp Theory’s third release and marks the quintet’s 15th anniversary. RETT SMITH VIDEO “I SWEAR”
Rett Smith’s video for his debut single “I Swear” is a dark and harrowing look at the power of loneliness and suspicion. Featuring atmospheric scenes that incorporate the essence of Rett’s sound, there are crowds of people spinning around one another, yet infinitely disconnected from their own emotions. As Rett’s character seemingly destroys what is left of an already failing relationship, as well as his own moral compass, he remains unaffected as he strums his guitar and glows with trouble the same way the music does. The cinematic quality aids in the frustrating, emotionally damaged undertone within the story itself; while the wailing guitar riffs heighten the soulful, disengaged attitude of Rett’s own vocals. Between scenic changes from bar fights to withdrawn dancers, there’s no doubt that the video itself encompasses the emotional storyline of this turbulent debut single.

Originally a drummer, Los Angeles-based producer and vocalist K. Roosevelt came out from behind the scenes in 2013 with his R&B single “Do Me Now.” While enrolled as a drummer in Hollywood’s Musicians Institute, Roosevelt discovered production thanks to the school’s policy that all percussionists must also take recording classes. The school’s reasoning was that drummers understand structure and how music is built, and Roosevelt found it to be true, and soon, he switched his focus to studio work. Work with Overdoz, H.O.P.E., and others followed with his big break coming in 2011 thanks to his work on Skeme’s single “Thank God.”

JACKIE EVANCHO TO RELEASEs NEW ALBUM
Platinum-selling, 14-year-old vocal sensation Jackie Evancho will release her third studio album, Awakening, on September 23 coinciding with an international tour.
