THE MUSEUM OF MODERN ART ANNOUNCES RETROSPECTIVE EXHIBITION OF BJÖRK
The Museum of Modern Art announces that it will present a full- scale retrospective dedicated to the multifaceted work of the composer, musician, and artist Björk in 2015. Organized by Klaus Biesenbach, Chief Curator at Large at MoMA and Director of MoMA PS1, the exhibition Björk draws from more than 20 years of the artist’s daring and adventurous projects and her seven full-length albums—from Debut (1993) to Biophilia (2011)—to chronicle her career through sound, film, visuals, instruments, objects, costumes, and performance. The installation will present a narrative, both biographical and imaginatively fictitious, cowritten by Björk and the acclaimed Icelandic writer Sjón Sigurdsson. Björk’s collaborations with video directors, photographers, fashion designers, and artists will be featured, and the exhibition culminates with a newly commissioned, immersive music and film experience conceived and realized with director Andrew Huang and 3-D design leader Autodesk. Björk will be on view from March 7 through June 7, 2015; MoMA is the sole venue.

The duo met by chance and quickly learned that Feld’s affinity for blending Chicago House, disco, Motown and psych melded perfectly with the classically trained Gabriel’s aptitude in a variety of musical instrumentations – ranging from jazz to world to glam rock.

The Boston Symphony Orchestra will launch a new, summer-long reality web series, “New Tanglewood Tales: Backstage with Rising Artists,” spotlighting the professional and personal lives of six Fellows from the 2014 class of the Tanglewood Music Center, the BSO’s prestigious summer music academy that takes place at Tanglewood, one of the world’s most preeminent summer music festivals, located in the beautiful Berkshire hills of western Massachusetts. THE OAK RIDGE BOY CELEBRATE 41 MILLION ALBUM SALES
The extensive collection of honors and awards keep rolling in for The Oak Ridge Boys. An official RIAA commemorative plaque certifying Gold, Platinum, and Multi-Platinum album and single sales has been awarded to the Grammy-winning group in celebration of more than 41 million album sales worldwide. A special presentation took place in New York during the legendary group’s appearance on The Wendy Williams Show.

BUFFALO KILLERS ON CARSON DALY

The annual infomercial is always something fans of the festival – and of music and entertainment, in general – look forward to watching. At 23 minutes long, it is definitely a bit of a watch, but it also definitely worth it. The short story involves it’s lead character taking a meteor to the head less than a minute in, a Juggalo being kicked out of Hell because “there’s no Juggalos in Hell” and a whole lot more. It also includes information on the artists and comedians performing at the festival.

She’s been Boston’s singing sweetheart for the past few years as part of Sarah Borges & the Broken Singles. But, now, the singer-songwriter is claiming that title of her own as she readies the release of her new solo record, Radio Sweetheart.
The 10-track album, set for release on June 24 via Booneville, Kentucky-based Lonesome Day Records, is a return to self for the artist. “I wrote songs that felt important to me. Before, I had a lot of co-writes, so a lot of opinions in the mix, and this time I was able to think of just what I wanted. It was scary and freeing at the same time,” says Borges, who Rolling Stone magazine describes as “friendly pop–rock with bits of twang, rockabilly, and ’50 pop.”
