Entertainment icon and multi-platinum artist Snoop Lion will release his highly-anticipated new album, REINCARNATED, on April 23, 2013. The forthcoming reggae and dancehall influenced album is executive produced by Diplo and the Major Lazer production team and will be released in conjunction with Berhane Sound System, Mad Decent, VICE Music, and RCA Records.
Snoop Lion recently premiered the new video and single for “Lighters Up” – a peace anthem both figuratively and literally, produced by Major Lazer and Dre Skull. On the track, Snoop uses the power of music to bring together Mavado and Popcaan, who come from different regions that have had a long-standing tension in Jamaica. The song’s inspiring lyrics are helping to spread the powerful message of unity and peace, which underscores the entire REINCARNATED project. He also recently released the club-anthem “Here Comes The King” featuring Angela Hunte and produced by Diplo & Ariel Rechtshaid and co-produced by 6Blocc. Both tracks are available now digitally, and the REINCARNATED album will be available for pre-order on iTunes on April 2.
