Chunksaah Record’s newest rising stars, LUTHER, seem to be popping up everywhere this month. From song premieres on Huffington Post (http://tinyurl.com/8j8sja9) and RCRD_LBL (http://tinyurl.com/8f54o94) to a US tour with Timeshares to a Canadian tour with The Bouncing Souls, the indie-rock band is inescapable – which is a very good thing. Their debut full-length, titled Let’s Get you Somewhere Else comes out on Chunksaah on October 9, 2012 and is now available for pre-order at: http://tinyurl.com/9trelbm. It was recorded and produced by The Bouncing Soul’s guitarist Pete Steinkopf in his Little Eden Studio and mastered by Nick Zampiello and Rob Gonnella at New Alliance East (Torche, Against Me!, Piebald).
For a band that’s been around less than two years, Philadelphia’s Luther certainly has some impressive fans. The band has being asked to play at Hot Water Music’s record release show, done summer and fall tours with The Bouncing Souls, opened shows for Braid, The Smoking Popes and Dead to Me in their hometown, and most recently have announced that they will tour with The Smoking Popes again in November.
