EMMANUEL JAL STARTS “WE WANT PEACE” RALLY + VIDEO

Emmanuel Jal has won worldwide acclaim for his unique style of hip hop with its message of peace and reconciliation born out of his experiences as a child soldier in Sudan. In his ongoing campaign as a Peace Soldier he has organized rallies around the world to support WE WANT PEACE. These have been in the plans for a while, but with recent headlines reminding us all of the on going violence in his home country of South Sudan and July 9, marking Independence day, they are also very timely.

“We want peace is a movement of like-mind people who want to make this world a better place; it’s a place where we to lead the change we would love to see.   I am very passionate about education as a way for shaping a better future and to create Peace,” Emmanuel said. “What do I mean by peace? Peace is justice equality and freedom for all. Peace is when my belly is full. Peace is when conflicts are managed in a mature manner so violence is prevented”.
