Rock icon Scott Weiland has contributed a brand new track to the Avengers Assemble compilation inspired by the highly anticipated film “Marvel’s The Avengers.” An anthemic rock track destined for radio playlists everywhere, “Breathe,” co-produced by Weiland’s long-time collaborator Doug Grean, marks the release of Weiland’s first solo material since last year’s surprisingly light-hearted Christmas album, The Most Wonderful Time of the Year.
Avengers Assemble is set for release on May 1st on Marvel Music/Hollywood Records, and can be pre-ordered now exclusively on iTunes. The 13-track compilation of music from and inspired by the film features a veritable feast of rock bands including Soundgarden, Shinedown, Rise Against, Buckcherry and PUSHERJONES, to name just a few. “Marvel’s The Avengers” opens in theaters nationwide on May 4th.
