The record kicks off with a scary, good tune titled “Ghosts” that is bursting with emotion. Immediately, I am taken aback by Joshua’s fine guitar playing and smooth vocals that will keep you engaged. A refreshing breeze rushes past you on “Ghosts” proving that Joshua is a true storyteller with a knack for melodies. There is absolutely nothing foolish about the next number, “Fools”, where Joshua Lassi delivers a strong performance that speaks volumes. Track three, “Kicked and Burned”, has a salt-of-the-earth type feel where Joshua and his musical talents are grounded to the core. Resiliency is picked up on “Kicked and Burned” where Joshua is truly playing his heart out for ALL to hear. Heavenly chords and gracious notes can be heard on the following song “Working Man’s Prayer (The Side of Dirt)”. Grateful meaning and bountiful blessings are all present on “Working Man’s Prayer (The Side of Dirt)”. Get ready to rattle off some blessed “Bones” next where an inviting melody and solid foundation are all in place. Joshua leaves a lasting impression on the listener on “Still The Boys” where it’s a shout out to memories.
It’s hard to believe that this is a debut solo release for Joshua Lassi because he sounds like a seasoned vet. Now residing on the Emerald Coast of Florida, Joshua also works on the worship team at a local church. Spreading good deeds and good tunes, Joshua creates music that resonates with many souls. Through a deep-rooted passion for music & faith, Joshua’s songs have much depth that will connect with a wide audience.
