BIEBER TO PREMIERE “U SMILE” VIDEO THIS WEEK
Tomorrow, Justin Bieber will premiere the video for his latest single, “U Smile.” Earlier this month, Bieber was spotted shooting the video for “U Smile,” which was directed by Alfredo Flores. In photos from the shoot posted on Idolator.com, Bieber is shown dressed all in black, trying to woo a teenage girl near a run-down movie theater.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY BONAS JONAS!
Frankie Jonas, who is lovingly referred to as “Bonus Jonas,” turns 10 today. The youngest Jonas Brother lent his voice to the 2009 Japanese animated flick Ponyo, opposite Noah Cyrys, Miley’s younger sister. He currently stars opposite his brothers in Jonas L.A. The Jonas Brothers are taking a break from their world tour, before heading to Puerto Rico for a show in San Juan on October 15th.
USHER TALKS “HOT TOTTIE” SONG
Usher’s “Hot Tottie” record featuring Jay-Z and Ester Dean is an undeniable hit. NICKELBACK CANCELS NEW OLREANS SHOW
Live Nation announced yesterday that the October 12th Nickelback show at the New Orleans Arena has been canceled, due to unforeseen circumstances. A statement on the band’s web site stated they are “deeply sorry” for the cancelation and “in light of the recent hardships endured by the people of the Gulf Coast, Nickelback was very much looking forward to entertaining their fans there and hopes to return to rock the Big Easy in the near future.” Ticket refunds will be available at the point of purchase and all tickets purchased via the internet and charge by phone will be automatically credited to your credit card. Nickelback plays the Mohengan Sun Arena in Uncasville Connecticut tonight.
KANYE TO PRODUCE JOHN LEGEND’S NEXT LP
Just days after releasing his joint Wake Up! project with The Roots, John Legend revealed to Billboard magazine that he’s already “started [recording] the next solo album.” The crooner added that Kanye West will serve as the co-executive producer for Legend’s upcoming fourth disc. In addition, John spilled he’s “also worked on Kanye’s album a little bit, on the ‘POWER’ remix and other stuff. But God only knows what Kanye is actually going to put on the album and what’s going to be on the other five-song album he’s putting out.”
KANYE AND JAY-Z JOINT ALBUM COMING SOON!
In addition to completing Dark Twisted Fantasy, Kanye West is working on a joint album with Jay-Z. The multi-tasker announced that his project with Hova is titled Watch The Throne and will arrive early next year. BallerStatus.com reports fans will be able to purchase a five-song EP from the moguls on November 23rd via Def Jam as well as Ye’s highly anticipated Dark Twisted Fantasy effort on November 16th.
MARIAH FALLS DURING CONCERT
Rap-Up.com has learned Mariah Carey took a spill during a Saturday night performance at LG Live’s 2010 Formula 1 Singtel Singapore Grand Prix. The songbird fell while singing “Make It Happen,” only to jump back up and tell the crowd: “I did that on purpose!” If that wasn’t enough, Mi Mi then spoke over the song and requested her assistant take off her ten-thousand dollar heels for her. She concluded the rest of the concert barefoot!

KATY PERRY TO STAR ON THE SIMPSONS
Katy Perry may not have gotten the chance to be on Sesame Street, but she is going to have the opportunity to star on The Simpsons. According to EW.com, the pop star will be appearing on the legendary animated show as herself, but in an unusual way. Apparently, in a Christmas-themed episode, Perry “appears as herself in a live-action segment that features Simpsons characters as puppets.” Learn more at EW.com.

Over the weekend, Katy Perry was on the season premiere of Saturday Night Live, but she did more than just perform. RUSSELL BRAND’S BACHELOR PARTY
Katy Perry recently had her bachelorette party with friends in Las Vegas, and fiancé Russell Brand just had his over the weekend in London. According to British paper The Sun, the comedian and some pals, including Oasis’ Noel Gallagher, took in a soccer game, followed by a trip to the strip club. Since Brand doesn’t drink, a friend was sure to mention that it was “the most sober stag party in the history of nightclubs.” Perry and Brand are supposedly set to tie the knot sometime next month.
KATY AND RUSSELL BUY A PLACE IN NYC
Katy Perry and Russell Brand are now official residents of New York City. According to Gawker.com, the engaged-couple bought a 2.9-million dollar, 15-hundred square-foot apartment in the Tribeca neighborhood. The pair is rumored to be tying the knot sometime next month.
GAGA’S GRANDPA PASSES AWAY
Lady Gaga’s grandfather, Joseph Germanotta, passed away on Friday. The pop star mentioned at a concert earlier in the year that her paternal grandpa had been sick, and according to MTVNews.com, Germanotta did indeed pass away after a long battle with Parkinson’s disease. On Sunday night, Gaga wrote on Twitter about her grandfather passing, saying that she was “having a perfect Manhattan” for her “perfect guy. Love you Giuseppe,” which is Joseph in Italian.
LIFEHOUSE FRONTMAN HURTS FINGER IN DOOR
Lifehouse are in Germany as part of their European tour, and it seems that they had a slight mishap. TAYLOR SWIFT STAYING BUSY IN ITALY
Taylor Swift was spotted at the Roberto Cavalli Spring/Summer 2011 fashion show during the Milan Fashion Week Womenswear in Italy recently. Heidi Klum and Rachel Bilson also attended the event. In other Taylor news, she made an appearance on the Rachael Ray Show yesterday with a message she pre-taped a video for a girl named Emily. The teenager taught herself to play the guitar by using Taylor’s songs when she was diagnosed with cancer.

30 SECONDS TO MARS RELEASE KANYE COLLABORATION
On November 2nd, 30 Seconds to Mars are putting out a deluxe edition of their album, This is War, which will boast their track, “Hurricane” featuring Kanye West. Singer Jared Leto described the collaboration to MTV News as “a collision of two worlds” and “a completely unexpected surprise.” Leto thinks it’s one of the strongest things that the rapper has ever done. Will West appear in the video for the track? Leto says we’ll have to wait and see.
KINGS OF LEON SINGER ADLIBS LYRICS FOR NEW ALBUM
Kings of Leon’s new album, Come Around Sundown, will be out in a few weeks and singer Caleb Followill has been talking about the record’s lyrics. He told Uncut magazine that he ad-libbed most of the lyrics to the songs in studio and didn’t come prepared with songs written. He also revealed that he wasn’t too confident in the new album till he played it for his fiancé, who loved it. We’ll get to see what we all think of Come Around Sundown when it comes out on October 19th.
KATE VOEGELE WORKS OUT TO BEYONCE

MADONNA TO EXPAND MATERIAL GIRL LINE
Madonna’s new fashion line, Material Girl, started as a fashion line for juniors, but it seems that there are already talks about expanding the brand. According to PerezHilton.com, the CFO of Iconix Brand, the company behind the line, said that they want Material Girl to branch out into “additional categories,” including “swim and intimates,” as well as a “full footwear collection.”

“Hey, Soul Sister” has been Train’s most popular song to date, but its pretty surprising to hear just how successful it’s been. According to a Nielsen Soundscan, the tune has been downloaded 4.6-million times, making it the most downloaded song of the year thus far, the most downloaded song in Columbia Records history, and the 14th most downloaded song of all time. Train play in Los Angeles on Thursday.
