Finnish Punk Icons Terveet Kädet and Their New Album ‘Kaikki kaikkia vastaan’
Revered with a cultish adoration, the band have received influence nods from bands like Sepultura and continually been named one of the best punk bands in the world. Though a touch of metal has tinged their sound in later years, it only adds to the intense thrash assault they bring to the table every time.
In English, Terveet Kädet means “healthy hands” and ‘Kaikki kaikkia vastaan’ translates to “all against all”. Both are demonstrative of TK’s lyrical content which is filled with angst, doubt and concern about the state of the world. With a merciless edge to their disquietude, these Finnish punks seem set on continuing to show us where they come from and what they’re thinking with the same ferocity they did in 1982.

Dean Michael Martinez better known as recording artist Michael Dean is ready for the spotlight. The Albuquerque New Mexico bred rising pop artist who can cover a range of sounds and melodies is on the verge of hitting his peak with his 2023 upcoming album titled Top Gun. Michael Dean developed his love for creating music at the young age of 9. He grew up in California most of his life from garden grove to Santa Ana to Anaheim California. During that time growing up, he listened to hip-hop legends like 2pac, Nas, Eminem and 50 Cent which inspired his love for the art. Michael Dean was signed as a hip hop artist to Money Hogg Gang (subdivision cash money) Under Compton Menace in late 2018. He is a diverse force emerging out of the shadows.

Luise Volkmann, a saxophonist and sound composer from Cologne, Germany, has been a force of nature in the jazz world for some years now. Performing with her trio Autochrom plus the collectives Été Large and LEONEsauvage, Volkmann refuses to be constricted by the term “jazz” and takes her music off into worlds of experimentation, electronics and contemporary classical. 2023 will finally see the German release her first solo album under her own name. Rites de Passage is out 24 March, and the first single to be released is “Monologue for myself”.
