New Orleans based band, Bruisey Peets has released their queer, swamp pop and piano based album, Poached Eggs. With a little help from the guys in Lost Bayou Ramblers and Brass Bed, the album is an airy yet heart-wrenching commentary on “small business capitalism” with some really gorgeous cajun influences.
Poached Eggs is reminiscent of Harlem River-era Kevin Morby with a nice dash of Hamilton Leithauser and a sizzle of country-fried twang. You can listen below!
