Alternative rock quartet JESTR will release their song “Birth Of A Charlatan” on Bandcamp on October 29th 2021. Based out of Lafayette, Louisiana, JESTR was initially devised as a solo project by Brett Bradley at the end of 2019, the name JESTR comes from a strong spiritual experience Brett had. Recording for the debut album began in late 2020, with the band’s current line-up materializing in spring of 2021.
“We’re thrilled to release “Birth of a Charlatan”! This is one of our proudest moments and remains a personal favorite among the band. Diving into celebrity worship culture, Charlatan explores what so many of us desire. We hope you enjoy it!”

‘White Hart Lane’ is an ode to the, often difficult, life of a Tottenham Hotspur supporter, and the perfect lyrical allegory for a difficult relationship. Opening with a gentle piano, the track quickly explodes into a chorus, propelled by an electric drum pattern reminiscent of a The National track and a scorching melody akin to Death Cab For Cutie. The inspiration for Flinch came from an experience where I fell asleep at the wheel, coming home from a partner’s house, and was awoken by oncoming headlights just in time to swerve back into my lane. The song became my public acknowledgement that I continually let my lack of self esteem put me in dangerous situations, oftentimes with less than ideal company. However, I wasn’t going to go down alone. If I was going to admit this, I had to acknowledge all of the ways the partner was failing at being a human being as well. It’s a two way street after all.

While grief and loss teach us that everything is transient and immaterial, we often feel nostalgic for the time when things meant something.
ATOM DRIVER: BrooklynVegan Premieres “I’ve Turned Into A Monster” By Indie/Noise Rock Quartet
ATOM DRIVER formed in the fall of 2016 when guitarist and vocalist Mark Segal (ex-Boss Jim Gettys), bassist Justin Ingstrup (ex-Good Clean Fun), and drummer Mike Polilli (Buzzkill) set their sights on blending classic and current noise rock, indie rock, and post-hardcore influences with a love of punk and metal. The trio made their debut with the 2017 EP Slackjaw, produced by Steve Evetts (Hatebreed, Dillinger Escape Plan, Snapcase, Sepultura) and released on local label Powerbunny 4×4. Two more self-released EPs followed: In The West later that same year, and Here They Come, The Hornets in 2019.

Ghost Woman shares new “Do You” single/video
Having grown up in the small town of Three Hills, Alberta, Evan Uschenko cut his teeth as a multi-instrumentalist and part of fellow Canadian Michael Rault’s band – touring with the likes of King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard and Jacco Gardner. Retreating from the road and hiding out in prairies of southern Alberta, Uschenko booked two months in an abandoned farmhouse, converted into a studio, and in a fog of smoke and whiskey recorded songs as quickly as he could write them.
