Poetica Releases Lyric Video for New Single “Magenta and Blue”
It’s from Poetica’s debut self-titled full-length, out 10/22. What began as a remote duo collaboration between poet/vocalist/producer Rachael Sage and three-time Grammy nominated cellist Dave Eggar, Poetica eventually evolved into a full-blown spoken word concept album, with musicians contributing from around the globe. “Magenta and Blue” is a string-laden soundscape that blurs the lines between classical, Americana, jazz and cinematic music genres. Sage and Eggar recorded the song with Appalachian folk fiddler Evie Andrus.
Next week, Kitner will release their stunning debut LP on Relief Map Records. It’s hard to believe that they don’t already have multiple albums under their belt because Shake the Spins is such a confident and well rounded body of work. Their final single from Shake the Spins is titled “Malden, MA” and it’s currently streaming at Under the Radar. It’s a high energy, feedback laden rock song inspired by Dinosaur Jr. “Malden, MA” will be available on digital platforms on Friday, September 24th.
