VICTORIA MONÉT RETURNS WITH “COASTIN’”
Victoria Monét re-enters the chat today with groovy new single “Coastin’”, her first new drop of the summer, featuring production from The Stereotypes. The track is also her first musical release since giving birth to a beautiful baby girl. “Coastin’” is set to be a summer hit with a funky bassline, laid-back feel and Victoria’s contemporary reinvention of 70s funk. Hailing from Sacramento, Monét also calls the song a love letter to California. It interpolates Keni Burke’s “Risin’ to the Top” – a song also famously sampled in Mary Jane Girls “All Night Long”.
Electro-Prog Quartet TAUK Announces Otherworldly LP, ‘Chaos Companion,’ with Video for “The Let Out”
The wait is finally over for fans of electro-prog four-piece, TAUK, as they announce a full-length instrumental LP, Chaos Companion, due out September 24th. Over nine tracks, Chaos Companion is a cinematic collection that hints at everything from 70’s film scores and 80’s video games to 90’s R&B and modern dance music. The immersive record blurs the lines between analog and electronic as it balances old school grit and futuristic sheen in equal measure.
Rawayana Releases New Video “Váyanse Todos a Mama” Feat. Los Amigos Invisibles & Cheo Pardo
Today Latin Grammy-nominated Venezuelan art collective, Rawayana, launches a new video for “Váyanse Todos a Mama'” with legendary Venezuelan band Los Amigos Invisibles & Cheo Pardo and announces signing to global agency Creative Artists Agency (CAA). “Rawayana represents the constant evolution of Latin music. We’re beyond excited to have this amazing group join the CAA family,” says Bruno del Granado (Head of CAA’s Miami office).
Central Heat Exchange Premiere “Almost To You” via FLOOD
Last month, Central Heat Exchange (C.H.E.) announced their self-titled debut LP. A collaborative project from a group of musicians spread throughout the US & Canada, and concentrated in Austin, Chicago, & Winnipeg, its core members are Adam Soloway of Living Hour, Santiago RD of Daphne Tunes and Jacob and Paul Stolz of Varsity and Pool Holograph, though their forthcoming album involves a broad network of collaborators that include members of Broken Social Scene, Lala Lala, Fran, The Weakerthans, Sun June, Do Make Say Think and many others. They have so far shared two tracks from the album (due out September 10th on Birthday Cake, Citrus City and Sunroom Records), which have each featured members of their other projects on lead vocals, “Directly Down,” which is sung by Stephanie Smith of Varsity, and “Tulips At My Bedside” which features Sam Sarty of Living Hour. Today they’re sharing a third single from the record entitled “Almost To You” via a premiere with FLOOD.

LORDE DROPS ACOUSTIC VERSION OF “STONED AT THE NAIL SALON”
