He has his self-titled debut album release out on February 5 and we’ve got some support in the pipeline from Bandcamp Daily, MOJO, Under The Radar Magazine, etc so far. It’s a pretty diverse record with some very heavy, wild parts and other much more ethereal sections – this latest single, “Dreaming”, is definitely a cornerstone of the latter with hints of Björk, Sigur Rós and FKA twigs shining through. It was actually recorded in a lighthouse off the coast of the North Sea using South American flutes.

Following the release of their ‘III’ EP in September of last year, psych-rock band Japanese Television hand over the reigns to several producers to put their own twist on the originals. Set for release on Tip Top Recordings on March 19th, the remix EP enlists the talents of U.N.K.L.E AKA James Lavelle, Phantasy Sound affiliate James Welsh, KMAH residents Space Age Freak Out, Desolate Spools alumni International Teachers of Pop and Factory Floor’s Gabe Gurnsey, who turns the otherworldly psych of the original into a reverb-drenched groove adding signature hard-hitting drums and minimal synths.

“I wrote Evil Love solo with my acoustic guitar (in 2008) and it became my anthem. I’ve performed it all over Los Angeles, in NYC, Nashville and various cities. “Liquorish was a lightbulb moment for me. When I first moved to town, this girl named Allie was a part of the crew that I rolled with. She was into me, I was into her, but it wasn’t until I was a junior in high school that I had the courage to ask her out. We got married when I was 21. I wanted to write a song that perfectly captured the moment when I realized that I wanted more than a friendship. Liquorish is my love story,” Brady explains.
It’s FaB! iTunes Chart-topping Pop Duo Releases New Single/Lyric Video “Persuasion”
Now, FaB is releasing a second single from the album. The song, “Persuasion” was written by Neil, as a special request to Bee: “Bee is a die-hard Jane Austen fan and asked me to write a song with the title of one of her most famous works, ‘Persuasion,’ in a modern day scenario,” Neil says. “As Bee’s wish is my command, I have done so.”
Fitzsimon wrote and plays guitar on the track, while Brogan engineered, sang vocals, played keys and drums. “Persuasion” was mixed by Pat Collier (Katrina and the Waves, The Vibrators.)

Darren Regan started to DJ at the age 17 in Ireland. He had a 3 year residency in his hometown in Mayo while studying at Dublin City University. During his time in Dublin, he started to dabble in production and also began DJing at college events. Regan was also active in the student radio station DCUfm where he presented dance shows. After University he worked as a Presenter on SPIN South West for a number of years while playing clubs and festivals across Ireland including Longitude and Electric Picnic.

Turbulence is a new progressive rock/metal band from Lebanon. Coming from a region not exactly famous for prog music, Turbulence has emerged from their local scene and is ready to compete on a world stage. The band is preparing to unleash their sophomore album, “Frontal,” a concept album which showcases Turbulence’s ability to combine compelling musical storytelling with modern sounds and production.
Turbulence was founded in 2013 by two extremely gifted composers, guitarist Alain Ibrahim and keyboardist Mood Yassin. Omar El Hage (vocals), Sayed Gereige (drums) and Anthony Atwe (bass) round out the band’s line-up. The band started when Mood sent Alain a sample of a song that really piqued his interest. The meeting of the two men felt like an inevitable event and the two prog-loving songwriters, both among the most skilled and proficient musicians and instrumentalists in their country, teamed up with the rest of the line-up to complete their shared vision. Turbulence’s goal is to bring their unique style of progressive music from the Middle East to the world.

This new set highlights Perdomo on guitar, drums and keys. McKnight plays bass and sings leads and harmonies on all 6 tracks. Recording took place at Reseda Ranch Studio in L.A., and Systems Two in NYC.

AZIOLA CRY: Chicago Instrumental Progressive Metal Trio To Release The Ironic Divide Full-Length Through Sensory Records In March; Teaser And More Issued
Chicago-based instrumental metal trio AZIOLA CRY is set to release their third album, The Ironic Divide, now confirmed for late March release through New Jersey-based progressive metal label Sensory Records. The album’s details including its cover art, track listing, and a brief teaser have been issued.
AZIOLA CRY is Jason Blake on Warr Guitar, Mike Milaniak on guitar, and Tommy Murray on drums. The trio released their debut album, Ellipsis, in 2005, followed by Ghost Conversations in 2007. The group has performed with bands such as Behold… The Arctopus, Don Caballero, Tiles, Far Corner, and others, while appearing at progressive rock festivals including M.A.R.S. Fest and more.

Inspiration for this song came from a relationship that wasn’t meant to be. Start to finish, there were so many red flags and obvious signs that were ignored. I’m always looking for that fairytale ending, hoping that even when it’s unrealistic, it will somehow work out. And I wanted that so bad with this person, but it just wasn’t happening, no matter how hard I tried. Although this person was wrong for me, I still had to grieve the relationship, and accept that I have to surrender to these feelings until they’ve fully healed.
I reflect on that time after a breakup where even after you’ve made peace and come to terms with it, something brings you back as if it happened yesterday. You relive it all, imagining what that could have been, and everything that went wrong.
