It’s okay to do things for yourself—you’re allowed to change your mind and not let anyone make you feel bad about it,” explains Reed. “The shovels in the video represent everyone carrying invisible shovels in real life. You can dig yourself into holes and you can dig yourself out of holes. Sometimes you need a bit of help getting out.”

Narrated from dawn to dusk, Sad Magic shows Dillon yearning to re-explore the complex landscape that both shaped and saddened his adolescent years as a lonely teen struggling to discover himself with secret romances set in suburbia. But this EP is not about gloom, its about hope. This complex realization of a stereotyped, American Dream is a Sad Magic best reflected in solitude, as he hones in on his signature 80s stained anthems, personal storytelling, and euphoric pop sound.

Greta Van Fleet + “Age of Machine” Music Video
The video creates a new universe filled with symbolism and open to interpretation, with whispers of reflections on modernism. It is a response, a tiny piece of art in a very large conversation – four brothers and friends who spend very little time online, filled with questions – where is technology taking us, what does it all mean, and what are we trading in exchange? The video addresses the crumbling beauty around us, but leaves the final significance to the viewer – whether that narrative be focused on climate, industrialism, intimacy, self confidence, tradition, humanity itself, or otherwise. The only clear concept in the video is that the band chooses life.

PARISIAN NEW WAVE DISCO COLLECTIVE L’IMPÉRATRICE RELEASE “ANOMALIE BLEUE”
It is midnight, and you are listening to l’Impératrice talking to you about love. After the fiery “VOODOO?”, the band invites us to a ballad with a heady melody, reminding us of the warm perfume of a winter evening. Halfway between Giorgio Moroder and George Orwell, “Anomalie Bleue” traces the red thread of this twilight moment, something almost hypnotic that strikes the body just before the heart, and then this gentle and enigmatic color, sublimating the waves of sentimental intoxication, as supple as it is electric. Proof, if one was needed, that l’Impératrice hasn’t finished softening hearts. Let the group’s new single entrance you and watch their adventurous live performance of it.

Trying to find comfort in someone so not to deal with the uncomfortable things within our spongy, little brains.”

Juanita Stein Shares Video For ‘Reckoning’
Says Stein, “Reckoning is a song about the power of memory and grief. How the two go hand in hand. Certain images, smells and words can unlock the deepest or feelings. “The silence, the empty halls, the cold machines” is me recalling the antiseptic bubble we were in whilst visiting the hospital every day and the chorus is me releasing all of that. It’s an immensely cathartic tidal wave of angst and melody. The video was shot on a couple iPhones in a small town in France called L’Isle-su-la-Sorgue during the warmer months. Myself, a bicycle and a heart full of sorrow.”
