MULATTO RELEASES NEW VIDEO “ON GOD”
Delta Spirit are set to return with their first album in six years, What Is There, tomorrow. The 10-song set was produced by the band and mixed by Tchad Blake (U2, Black Keys). Their New West Records debut follows their acclaimed 2014 studio album Into The Wide, which Uncut said Delta Spirit “… progressively unleash waves of measured ferocity… toward payoffs that are staggering in their intensity.” What Is There was recorded at Sonic Ranch outside of El Paso, TX and is dedicated to the memory of their friend and musical inspiration, Richard Swift.
J.I. The Prince of NY Shares Video For “Love In The Club” Today
Today marks the release of burgeoning Brooklyn rapper, J.I. the Prince of NY’s latest video, “Love in the Club.” On the dancehall charged track J.I. shares his suspicions over loyalty between himself and a significant other. HotNewHipHop noted the single as a “highlight” off of his EP, while Pitchfork commended it as “the perfect balance between the crossover anthem[s]…and the melodic New York love song[s] that have made him a rising local star.”
With drums recorded to tape in the analog environment of Earth Analog Studios, and guitars, bass, vocals, and cellos captured at New Constellation RPM, the nine-track offering carries on where the band’s Divina Autem Et Aniles debut left off conjuring often alarmingly weighty psalms focused on atmosphere, feeling, and flow.
